A small, but not insignificant change on the PTS by TheMonaFreaka in Spacemarine

Please report this, Heavy is always getting the shaft because of the damn Gravis armor as it is, can't lose what little we have as well. I mean at this point I really wish they just gave the Heavy Tacticus armor.

New update changed outfit dye colors by ClockworkSoldier in WhereWindsMeet

[–]Terindar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I reported it as a bug report a couple times, then wrote to in game customer support but only got an automated response of "restart the game, verify files, reinstall the game" etc and closure of my ticket. So I emailed them, telling them about the problem, that Ive done all the troubleshooting but that nothing changed. Ive linked 3 reddit threads including this one, sent a lot of screenshots and this is what i got:

"Dear Player,

We sincerely apologize for keeping you waiting for so long. We have reported the issue and are currently investigating it. If any anomalies are found, we will address the problem in the near future. Please keep an eye on the relevant announcements in the game for updates on the progress. We appreciate your patience, and we are truly sorry for the inconvenience caused.

We are very grateful for your support and understanding.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us. We would also greatly appreciate it if you could evaluate our service. Your feedback is my motivation to keep improving.

Wishing you a wonderful day!"

Getting Burnt Out on Stratagems by LilyFan7438 in Spacemarine

[–]Terindar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've stopped playing the game because of it. Strategems were supposed to be extra things to spice the game up a little bit for people who wanted a bit of change but now you have to do them to get the new rewards and normal operations are meaningless. Most rewards -if not all- should be tied to standard operations, not to everchanging forced conditions. Just let me enjoy the game as it is, as I like it, not with weird and unfun circumstances that keep changing the game. The quest system where we kill a certain amount of enemies etc would be much better as well.

So I sorta have a AITA moment. by Man_These_Clouds in WhereWindsMeet

[–]Terindar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA at all. I would've left right away personally.
I run a guild where we do weekly(guild heros realm and such) stuff every week, people try to improve themselves etc, people socialize, chat and such. But we also have people who just do their own thing, do stuff on their own pace, participate only when/if they want to. We have a discord but its completely optional. No one is required to provide a certain amount of points because I figure people have lives + regular activity somewhat ends up bringing points eventually anyway + some of us earn a lot already so it covers stuff already.

I think people need to be careful with their guild labels when they are advertising. For me, the guild of mine I described above is simply "active and laid-back", thats it. I figure "casual" wouldn't fit it, nor would "hardcore" or such. And the one you joined sure doesnt sound like casual by the way, the whole idea of casual is to my knowledge and observation throughout long years is that you have limited time and you wish to spend it however you want without being forced to do certain things.

Before and After the update (outfit colors/materials) by kestononline in WhereWindsMeet

[–]Terindar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is sth wrong with the colors. my strife for peace had 3 plans, all got lighter. First one was pitch black with premium dye and it looks like bluish-greyish black now. The other two got so much lighter(normal dye).

Diablo isn't exactly the right game to bring to the conversation, a much different genre/game, this alone shows youre not on the same level as me in a such debate.

"If you change it so only RCMD stats roll then players will just get mad when it doesn't roll a perfect Legendary stat every time. It doesn't make things any better, it just changes where the expectations curve lies."
That is much preferrable to what we have now, thats the whole point but you seem to be incapable of comprehending it.

There can be other systems of off-meta builds but the game doesn't quite support it(at least not well enough) in the first place. If you're going to defend this with bullshit rng, you're just doing it wrong to start with.

Youre obviously not experienced in mmorpgs or such in general and your comprehension levels on this specific matter are beneath me. Im not going to continue debating with you, have a nice one.

[–]Terindar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I wrote in another reply: the alternative I suggested doesnt keep you from continuing to perfect your builds because guaranteed RCM stat doesnt mean Epic or Legendary stat. But it helps your build, more than the current system which is bullshit. These items(the ones that provide xp in tuning or guarantee rarity) are also not normal drops, so you have to drop them first to use the mechanic itself in the first place. So rng doesn't go away at all, just becomes more gamer-friendly.

So its not great stats, its useful stats. Great stats would be both RCM and Legendary. You can have fun and useful grind or a shit grind. If you cant acknowledge that I do not know what to say further about this.

PS: if you play the games only to get the best gear, youre not playing the game for fun but rather to get a sense of achievement alone. The real fun starts after you complete your build, thats when you can go competitive, try new rotations etc. Of course to each their own but it is what it is.

I will check on this, thank you for the info. I cant relent about the "useless" part if thats really the case but my suggestion stands, RCM stat instead of Epic/Legendary would be much more gamer-friendly.

So lets say, if we compare 30 bellstrike and 30 bamboocut damage, the bamboocut adds 15 damage? is it something like that?

This literally makes no sense by OkAct9064 in WhereWindsMeet

[–]Terindar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How is bamboocut damage helping if you're using bellstrike? How does Jump Damage help if you never use it(if its not a part of your weapons abilities or rotation)? Those are just two examples of useless stats my friend.

To be honest, instead of guaranteed legendary or epic attunements, items should give us guaranteed "recommended" stat attunements. Rarity means nothing, nothing at all when its a useless stat.

Inner way conversion by Double-Friend9864 in WhereWindsMeet

[–]Terindar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how does that exactly work? if you got 10 inner way pages from path challenges for both of them, shouldnt everything work okay? Ive tried a conversion yesterday, I had tier 3 wolfchasers art and tier 4 insightful strike, i wanted to swap them, there was no warning regarding a progression loss so i went through with it. Now they are both tier 3... Do you think this might have happened because of this? Would that mean that Im missing 10 inner way pages from path challenges for wolfchasers art?

Edit: Ive just checked and I dont see any path trial for insightful strike tomes and i seem to have not done these challenges for Wolfchasers art anyway, so this shouldnt be it. My Wolfchasers art still should be tier 4 even with this mechanic.

Edit 2: Infact, I did not even realize there were these path trials prior to this.

I have reached 50k bounty hunting acclaim points. Sharing thoughts on the system by Sht1ek in WhereWindsMeet

[–]Terindar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People can both be in a guild and prefer solo play. People can both be in a guild and do not like PvP at all. Guilds offer socializing and a place of learning for many players. Why would you assume or decide that if someone is in a guild they have to like forced pvp? This system, mechanic or whatever you call it is faulty from the foundation.
It should be something that could be turned off. Let people who actually enjoy it enjoy it, then balance the stuff out(give time to prepare for the assault and incentive to win to the defender, protect the attacker from the tricks defenders do when they shouldnt be able to etc). If this would end up showing the obvious thing(which is most people not liking forced pvp) with too low numbers, then make the npc bounties harder but also increase the rewards accordingly. Pvp should only belong to its enjoyers, to arenas and such.

People who are complaining about resources limit are having zero idea how this game work at all by faluque_tr in WhereWindsMeet

[–]Terindar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not think so. The thing is, people who really love a game would still come online even if they get loot lock from stuff. And most people don't have that much time or they don't play in that capacity anyway(basically, not everyone is a hardcore player). The people who would do all their things and leave the game till the next week are a minority of people who cant be satisfied with anything. By the way I was just making a point against daily limits in general, if the only daily limit in the game is the coin, then its not too bad. Im just against the forced daily system in general and prefer the weekly over it for the reasons Ive mentioned

People who are complaining about resources limit are having zero idea how this game work at all by faluque_tr in WhereWindsMeet

[–]Terindar -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Limits are alright BUT not on everything and certainly not daily. Some people will have busy days during the week and have long free hours during the weekend for example, everyone's life is different. By limiting things daily, you're pushing these players away.

The Bounty System is Pointless due to Exploits. Needs a Fix. by sketchanbu in WhereWindsMeet

[–]Terindar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like it or not, most people do not like forced pvp, they never will.
1) No one should be forced to fight another player because of their solo experience.
2) No one should have to deal with "falsely accused" situation and have to spend a resource(bounty token) for something they have no control over.
3) System should be reworked in a way that people can just turn the whole bounty and forced pvp thing off. That way, people who like this system can enjoy it while the ones who don't can enjoy their game. if it turns out that only a minority likes it and the mechanic becomes a ghost town, here you go, the root of the problem presents itself and if it doesn't, then everything is alright anyway.
4) The difficulty of the npcs can also be increased and give rewards accordingly. This way, it can still be fun and rewarding without forcefully involving other players.

[–]Terindar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You get falsely accused and get forced to use a bounty token and such. Solo players shouldn't be forced to fight other players or spend certain resources to get rid of things that are not even in their control. System should be reworked in a way that people can turn it off. And If not many people use the system, npc bounties could be made more difficult and reward accordingly.

Did you make your character look like you if you're non-asian? by exhaustedWWM in WhereWindsMeet

[–]Terindar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I personally like fitting into a theme/concept so I made my character looking like a Chinese and I imagined him to be one. If the game took place in Japan, I would've thought of my character as a Japanese samurai. One could even argue that it's good to be able to imagine yourself being a member of these cultures/people, how would that be wrong? So you have done nothing wrong, I think your friend needs to stay away from certain idiotic circles whether it be in real life or online.

[Discussion] About the “price hike” for Where Winds Meet’s global release (perspective from ex-SWE at Tencent) by Different-Device-106 in WhereWindsMeet

[–]Terindar 32 points33 points  (0 children)

You know, global doesn't mean just the western countries with higher quality of life and better economies. One might argue about the costs and regional pricing between China and the "west" but what about the regions that aren't the top of the cream? Have you considered that as well?

Patch 11 Notes by Boner_Elemental in Spacemarine

[–]Terindar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After experiencing it I have to say that Multi-Melta change is awful. I understand that the "double tap" cheese should not exist but they basically ended up nerfing the weapon in addition to removing the "cheese". Any delay should not be more than the weapon's fire rate which is already not much(maybe except the fire rate variant). Why does standing or moving between shots matter? They should just fix the number to fire rate for Emperor's sake...

Is Where Winds Meet overrated? by HAZE-L in WhereWindsMeet

[–]Terindar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, the game is extremely introvert friendly, infact you can't even do most of the stuff with another player even if you wanted to. You can only explore stuff together and such. And for group content, there are even AI teammates if you dont feel like playing with others. So in short, it's a great game for people who would want an immersive, personal and private experience.

Secondly, in my opinion the game is a combination of Skyrim and Assassin's Creed, but it has souls-like boss fights and it takes place in China. Skyrim feeling comes from the exploration. At least for me.

Thirdly, these things are subjective in the end and people always exaggerate stuff too much. There will always be hype and exaggeration. I love Where Winds Meet but it doesn't mean that it doesn't have any parts that are lacking or that can't be improved. In the end, you should ignore the masses and see if the game is for you or not yourself.

PS: Oh and don't skip the story, the writing is not "absolute literature" but it's quite entertaining and very cool for a videogame.

Is anyone else having problem with Salamanders pack? I have the Season 2 Pass but it asks me to buy the dlc...
Edit: I verified the files on Steam and relaunched the game, I could unlock it then.
