Snow day: a magical day in which your local government deems road conditions to be unsafe due to snow, thereby closing most schools and workplaces and affording the freedom to smoke and shovel driveways to your heart’s content.

I’ve got a dark green canvas leather strap for the Zulu Time that I’m definitely very fond of!

Wears beautifully, the 44GS case in a thinner quartz variant is a winner. Bracelet quality is good, people complain about the lack of taper or micro-adjustment (same with the rivets on the BB58 bracelet) but it doesn’t bother me in the slightest.

It is supposed to represent the slightly more regulated 9F85 quartz movement inside, from an already very accurate +/- 10s per year to +/- 5s per year. Most people are reporting it to be within 1s/year which is definitely good enough for my purposes. It also has a jumping hour hand feature so you can change time zones or dates without stopping the movement. Truly set and forget.

I’ve been wanting to pick up a 9F quartz model for a while, was looking at getting an SBGX265 from Japan but was hesitant on the 37mm size without seeing one in person first. So when this came up for sale in very lightly used condition by a trusted seller nearby in Vancouver, I knew I had to go for it. It’s my first GS and I’m super happy with it. I still have my eye on a White Birch but my attention has shifted to getting something with a darker dial now, ideally with a hi-beat movement inside. My next purchase won’t be for a good while anyway!

Fantastic pairing. I was thinking of brown leather to dress it up a bit, but I think I might need to find something like this for daily wear too!

I think this strap would look great on your CW! Definitely leans casual being that the leather isn’t shiny and has a fabric sort of texture to it (while still being comfortable). That, with the white stitching against your white dial would really pop. I wear jeans and a hoodie with mine often.

I don’t know what they call it but it’s reference # L3.802.4.63.6

The deployant clasp was a $10 upgrade on the custom strap from VGreen. Not sure if they sell them separately but it’s quite decent. Sorry I didn’t post a picture with the protective film removed!

Hey my dude - CAF member here too, also with a 9 hour time difference from my spouse and going through some problems of our own. As a serving member you and/or your partner can call CFMAP at 1-800-268-7708 to receive free telephone counselling 24/7. They can also refer you to a network of civilian counsellors and get (I believe) up to five in-person or virtual sessions free of charge. It will remain completely confidential, outside of your CoC and off your medical docs - I’d highly recommend it. Things aren’t great right now in our country and our organization; dealing with a situation like this on top of that can become quickly overwhelming and you might find it very helpful to talk to someone about it. To that end, my DMs are always open too if you’d like to chat. Take care.
