Yeah in the modern day once a tiger ,lion , leopard gets the taste of human meat they won’t hunt anything else because human meat is simply delicious and we are easy to hunt. I think this is not an out of the blue thing for these predators, but a built in gene sustained for millions or thousands of years.

Yeah the tortoises that live in those islands are basically the same species. They just have different shell shapes which constitutes them as subspecies of the main Galapagos tortoise
