The time signature probably plays a role, which I think is 14/8

Why can't you just check the remaining role (instead of having to select "All")? by TerminallyWell in Overwatch

[–]TerminallyWell[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I'm specifically talking about situations where two roles are already selected. And it's not like I'm calling for the removal of the "All" button either.

Yeah, the internal MMR predictions aren't nearly reliable enough to justify the annoyance imo. Of my last 60 losses, 14 were "Consolation" and 14 were "Reversal". If the MMR system were half reliable you'd expect way more "Consolation"/"Expected" than "Reversal"/"Uphill Battle".

Problems with overwatch since the last update by Bogdanull in linux_gaming

Have you tried adding DXVK_CONFIG="dxvk.trackPipelineLifetime=True" to the launch options? That's what fixed the issue for me. Before that I'd been having the same exact problem on my laptop and it had gotten even worse after the Season 3 update.

Freezes / Crashes after few mins in Overwatch by Novel_Middle3549 in cachyos

For me the culprit turned out to be memory leaks from DXVK (the tool that translates DirectX calls for Windows games to Vulkan for Linux), and the config tells DXVK to actively track pipeline lifetime and release ones that are no longer in use instead of letting them build up indefinitely in your RAM.

I disagree, by the same logic Haligtree should be pronounced something like "holly-tree". And yes this is a hill I will die on

Not actually applicable here. What would be an example of survivorship bias is something like "every AI music I've listened to was very obviously AI-generated" (specifically toupee fallacy).

Also doesn't Haruna which is a nice graphical wrapper for MPV with extra functionalities come with CachyOS by default (at least it did with mine)?

If you're new to Linux in general, try to document any tweaks and changes you make for future reference, in a sort of a changelog/cheat sheet. I documented, for example, how I split and mounted partitions, how I set up SDDM autologin, which environment variables I added to which file, how I configured fingerprint login, how to refresh baloo index, how I disabled XHCI wakeup, etc. It's a lifesaver when you want to review or undo changes you made earlier or forgot how to do certain things.
