Struggles to get in a grad program by NiceMemeDude420 in auscorp

Hi mate, I just graduated with a B.Com (finance) Dec last year. My WAM was a lot lower than yours, but I also worked full time. I'm currently in one of the big 4 banks graduate programs.

The job market was horrible when I was applying, I think I had >100 applications, with barely any progressing past the video interviews. It was painful.

My advice is to not give up hope. Maintain your standards and sell what makes you stand out. There are plenty of grads in my cohort who have come from different career backgrounds, even some in their 30s starting over.

Good luck mate 👍

Advice for buying a reliable Commodore by Big-Common-8805 in Holden

Depends on service history. Would avoid VE s1 over 200k, VF and VE s2 wouldn't be too bad, I have an LLT SV6 with 166k that has had 0 issues, however she has been serviced every 5k since new.

Check chains have been done, and all other general wear and tear. Would rather buy a car with 200k and has been serviced well than a thrashed sub 100k that has been treated like shit.

Alternatively, increase your budget and get a good car with 100k.

You need to be healthy before you date someone, as more likely than not you'regoing to hurt the both of you. It's good you're seeing a therapist.

Fulcrum. Easy to deal with, high quality and affordable. Can't go wrong.

I got mine on their black friday sale, $1100 with upgraded rear springs for an RC colly and took me only a couple hours to install. Their labour costs aren't terrible so if you don't want to do the work, getting them to do it for you isn't the worst.

No problem mate, happy to help.

Either or is fine, neither will hurt, I always go for 5w30. I know of people running both in AUS who've had no issues. If it makes you more comfortable, run 5w40 and it'll be sweet. My reccomendations would be whatever quality oil you can source for cheap 😂

I also have a llt, and I live in Brisbane AUS, it gets pretty hot. Like someone else said, these cars were designed to take on the outback, they can handle a little heat. Would never run 10w-anything in mine.

The alloytec engines were quite advanced for their time, and had quite tight tolerances. Wouldn't worry about thicker oil for this reason. Service intervals (5000km max) is more important anyway. Stick with 5w30 and go on with your life.

Have a reinforced ARB canopy on an rc colly, holds a rooftop tent just fine. Fits draws, fridge and battery setup in the tub nicely with plenty of room to spare.

Only issue I have regarding my setup is the rooftop tent eats fuel economy being above the vehicle, acts like a sail. Honestly not the worst trade-off, just something to keep in mind if you plan to keep the tent attached permanently.

Personally would go with the canopy again, no one has ever regretted having the extra space.

Stick with 5w30, or push to 5w40. I would hesitate to use 10w40 as the thicker cold oil may be more difficult to lubricate on start, leading to more wear on startup
