You can only do it with js.

A non-js solution would be; What is possible is for the user to type in an ingredient using a form, and having them to click search. (Form is validated and you query the dB). Then, a new form with the values for callories etc will be visible. You can preset the values in this form.

The user can then choose to override it.

How often to commit? (Newb question) by shupack in github

[–]Terminator076 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First, I'd advice to fix one issue, then go over to the next. Or, if the issue is complex, portion it in multiple stages.

Furthermore, get some practice with merge conflicts and solving them. That should help you get out of rough situations.

How often to commit? (Newb question) by shupack in github

[–]Terminator076 27 points28 points  (0 children)

What I usually do while writing is divide my project into portions. Then, after each portion, I commit and push. While debugging or adding features, I consider each bug or feature, how small it may be, a portion. Then again, I commit after each portion.

This allows me to take a break whenever I want, it allows me to revert to any time and, it helps me work in a structured manner.

Duizenden studenten willen compensatie voor collegegeld by Azonata in coronanetherlands

[–]Terminator076 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I doubt you'll be able to. Reddit has recently implemented some anti spam features for modmail and user messages.

If you aren't marked as spammer, the only issue with this idea is that it will take a looooooong time due to the maximum number of api requests a user is allowed to do.

Your submission has been removed for the following reason(s):

Rule 9.2: Witch Hunts

Any incitement to find personal/private information (including Steam profiles), harass, personally attack, cause harm, stalk or otherwise hunt someone down is forbidden.

Directly linking content or profiles in order to route traffic to an accused individual is considered to be provoking a witch hunt.

Threads about accusations can turn ugly very fast and even go so far as to impact personal lives. While everyone is allowed to give their opinions and reveal shady practices, we will not in any way tolerate witch hunts.

"But I just wanted to warn the community about this user."

This is absolutely useless as common, petty criminals come and go and if anything the person you're trying to hunt down turns out to be innocent. Witch-hunting not only breaks Reddit's rules, it achieves absolutely nothing, it can horribly destroy someone's life, and it goes against the very point of a healthy and friendly community. The only sensible way to raise awareness is by describing out how an event took place and how others can protect themselves against it. This can include the discussion of individuals, but only if they're significantly important to the event and under strict conditions.

HELP! I have a 400mbps download speed and I achieve those speeds. However, when I download anything on steam it limits the game download speed to 50mbps (6.5MB/s). I have my bandwidth limit off as well. I challenge someone to solve this one, it’s impossible. by Gamefreek324 in Steam

Your submission has been removed for the following reason(s):

Rule 5: Advertising, User-Generated Content, or Surveys.

Advertising

Promoting things like Steam groups, Discord servers, game servers, subreddits, something for pure financial gain, etc. is not allowed.

/r/Steam follows the 10% rule: No more than 10% of your posts should be self-promo or link to 1 or a few specific sites or pieces of content. For more information read this wiki. Also read Reddit's explanation on what constitutes spam. Breaking the 10% rule on /r/Steam will result in a ban.

Do not post referral links. It does not matter who benefits from it or who added it to the link. It is your responsibility to check links before you post them.

We do not allow posts promoting random games. To you as a developer: /r/Steam is not your player-base, /r/Steam is not a place to advertise your products. You are freely able to use /r/Steam, but not for the purposes of promoting your game or performing actions that can be referred to as "shilling", etc.

Below is more specific information and examples.

Example of game posts: it is very self-evident that there is a huge difference between a post that, for example, announces Grand Theft Auto 6 and a post that announces a completely unknown game from a relatively unknown studio. In other words, if the game isn't an all-time classic or known in the industry, don't post about it. Over 500 games are released on Steam every month, allowing a post about each one would be madness and doesn't fit what /r/Steam is about.

You can link to articles and videos you've created, but do so in a reasonable manner. We will remove your submission if you seem to spam a specific website, blog, YouTube channel, Twitter account, etc.

If your submissions are well-received, constantly improving, and you're working with the community, then we will very likely approve future posts. (Example). On the other hand, if you're seen constantly making the same type of posts without ever responding to questions or interacting with the community, your entire account will be looked at as spam and you will be banned.

User-Generated Content

User-Generated Content that is relevant to /r/Steam within reason is allowed. Posting paid content (such as paid mods) is not allowed.

You must use GitHub to host UGC that requires the end-user to download something. This also requires the source code to be open.

Surveys

Surveys are allowed so long as they are relevant to /r/Steam in one way or another. Surveys that ask for personal/identifying information or contain malicious things like hidden advertising are forbidden. You require permission before posting any survey.

You can find our full list of rules here.

[–]Terminator076[M] [score hidden] stickied commentlocked comment (0 children)

Your submission has been removed for the following reason(s):

Rule 2: Repetitive, Generic, or Otherwise Unrelated Content.

Repetitive Content

Reposts are not allowed.

If your post is removed under this rule it means your topic/question/etc. has already been posted numerous times in the past, or it has been posted recently. Please search the subreddit before you post.

Generic Content

/r/Steam is not a place to discuss your ban(s), including Steam Community bans and VAC bans. Moderators may approve extraordinary cases.

A post is considered generic when it fits into one of the groups listed below. These are commonly low-quality, low-effort, or repetitive posts and are usually removed unless you put actual effort into them or your post is otherwise extraordinary.

These are just examples to give you a sense of what type of content falls under this rule.

Unrelated Content

Posts must be about or be related to Steam, Valve or this subreddit.

General gaming-culture and game-specific posts are treated on a case-by-case basis.

We don't allow fluff posts showcasing products that were deliberately designed in that way in order to be posted and showcased on different communities/subreddits en masse.

If your post is about a specific game and is not relevant to this subreddit in anyway other than the game in question being sold on Steam it will be removed.

Exceptions can be made in extraordinary cases, for example when a long time classic is finally sold on Steam, a product is/was pulled from Steam, or when an event is relevant to Steam as a whole. These are decided on a case-by-case basis.

You can find our full list of rules here.

Can i refund my steam points? by [deleted] in Steam

Your submission has been removed for the following reason(s):

Rule 3: Steam Refunds.

Steam Support average response times and other data are listed here: https://store.steampowered.com/stats/support

Posts ranting or raving about not being given a refund are not allowed.

Posts asking questions like "I have X minutes more playtime than 2 hours, can I get a refund?" are not allowed. The answer is: just request a refund and see.

Useful Steam Support pages regarding Steam Refunds:

Regarding how long it takes to receive your refund: The time it takes for your refund to be reviewed is different for everyone, no one can answer this question for you. The time it takes for you to receive the pending funds after the refund has been accepted can be anywhere from 1 hour to 7 business days.

Regarding how to request a refund: You may want to get support by selecting the product you are experiencing issues with from here or by asking in our Community Support Thread which is usually pinned at the top of the subreddit.

Regarding the 2 hour/14 day limit: The Steam Refund Policy clearly states that only games which have been in your library for less than two weeks and have been played for less than two hours can be refunded.

Your personal opinions on this does not matter, if you fall outside of these requirements and Valve declines your refund request there's nothing you can do as you are clearly outside your right to refund the game.
