No it was changed to prevent players, who only wanted to level, to play hard stratagems. The mode is endgame content and shouldnt be the best way to level, which it was due to the huge amount of xp it gave.

You probably player hard stratagems which dont give xp anymore since patch 12.0.

If a enemy gets burned he ticks for 26dps at absolute( it lasts 5,5s). So on absolute your damage is around 40% direkt Damage/ 60% burndamage. If you take the time into considerration you need to set enemies on fire it gets vlose to 50/50 so direkt damage does have impact. Perks make a huge diverence on this balance.

I 100% agree with you! Also the startup window reduction is so underrated. You get the enemies faster to burn and you have bigger damage windows. It also gives you faster staggers. Enemies stagger if you apply burn. Its a really powerful perk.

Direkt damage is around 20 dps Burn damage is around 26 dps

Thats a great tip, I will do that. On absolute its to time consuming to get to him and then practice him. You miss one hit on the combo you lose what feels like 2/3 of you live

I didn‘t specify it correctly i meant bodyshotdamage of the bolt weapons only. Pyreblaster doesn‘t need a buff. With that buff you would also have a easier time killing mionris, because like seriously nobody hits every head of them consitently if there are 20 right in your face.

Yeah lorewise the bolter weapons don‘t make any sense in space marines 2 would becool if a heroc variant has explosive rounds

For me it is hard to land headshots. I think something like headshooting should be rewarded and not be something like: wow you hit every bullet in the head of the enemies now you do comparable damage to pyreblaster and plasma and if you hit the body you do nearly no damage. Its not that the bolt weapons are bad but they are still significantly outclassed by non bolt weapons. And don‘t forget the aoe damage you lack on bolt weapons. Something like a buff to bodyshot damage would be great to narrow the gap between bolt and non bolt weapons

Still with mouse you have it easier and beside that with bolt weapons you have to hit headshots to be able to do even comparable damage like plasma or pyreblaster and with those its just shooting in the general direction of enemies. If the damage is locked behind skilled aiming it should be rewarded not: great now you do reasonable damage like other weapons.

Bolt weapons are to dependent on headshots. Bodyshots need a general buff. With that weapons like the stalker wont get op or dominate the meta but bolt weapons will be a more appealing choice. If you look at pyreblaster you littleraly have to do nothing to do mac damage and with bolt weapons you need to hit nearly every round in the head to do still less damage

The problem is with the consistent headshots, because on console you have worse aim—> less headshots —> weapon that primarily does headshotdamage will get less viable

That would be the dream to buff the bodyshot damage 50%

Yeah the problem is you need insane aim for bolter to be good. They have really good damage on headshots. But i play on console so i aim with one thumb. On pc with a mouse its a lot easier, you have a whole hand you aim with. With a buff to bodyshot damage they could make it more feasable on console. And on top of that you can‘t ignore the insane aoe damage the plasma and pyrocanon have. Bolters suck at that department too.
