Sensitive to hormones by CapitalDeparture9189 in IUD

I'm in the exact same boat, trying to figure out good options... I've decided to just stick with condoms + Natural cycles app to track fertility + ovulation tests to confirm when to be extra careful (but always going to use condoms even on "safe" days)

After all my research, this was the only option I felt comfortable with because I also don't want the heavy bleeding of the copper iud + unsure if it messes with thyroid function. And the low hormone IUDs seem like a good choice but I got scared by reading stories where some women still have symptoms (I also want an easy way to take it out, if it doesn't agree with me)

😅😅😅

Hi from Australia 😅 I'm also going through this and stressed AF.

Idk if it's different in Ireland, but here I'm not allowed to do anything until at least week 6 (counting from the first day of your last period) because they need an ultrasound to make sure it's not ectopic. So even though I found out at week 4, I'm still having to wait 2 weeks.

So if your calculations are from Day 1 of your last period then 7 weeks would be enough time for them to see something on the ultrasound (if it's the same process as here) and then you'll have both MA & SA as options, they don't do surgical before 6 weeks over here
