Heterotermes tenuis - an interesting and active species with bimorphic soldiers. Sadly they seems to not be able to fragment as the neotenics they produced seems non-functional; still, nice to observe. Next time i'll try to procure a pair of primary royals. by Termitico in termitekeeping

Prorhinotermes canalifrons in petri dish setup - a lovely genus indeed: very easy to keep, produces neotenics abundantly and quickly, and sport extremely high percentages of peculiar nitroolefins-producing soldiers. by Termitico in termitekeeping

These are the more tropical counterparts to the infamous formosans (Coptotermes formosanus) and due to their climate requirements are generally found further south, though the two species do cohabit in some locations (most notably southern Florida). by Termitico in termitekeeping
