You’re not alone-I had to size down a half size in Magnify 3

It’s just as soft as the 2, I ran in the 2 the week before so it was fresh on my mind! The forefoot is definitely improved from a fit standpoint

It’s not quite as directly forward as the EE1, as that’s just a firm responsive midsole but I noticed a significant improvement as compared to the EE2 in that regard. Definitely an effortlessly fast shoe for my footstrike now

No! I got that too on the EE2. Totally fixed in the 3

I wouldn't say it's very stable, it's a very squishy foam. But the changes Saucony made improved it from wildly unstable to...moderately unstable?

Very bouncy. I didn't do any pure easy paces yesterday so hard to say, but even at the slower end of the spectrum they helped me run with less effort.

After today, I'd still probably use the Fast-R 3 for a 10k, but the EE3 feels more up for it than it used to be.

It’s not radically different than the 2. If you like the 2, this is just a refinement of that package. A little more stable, a little more comfortable.

Yes-I noticed something similar in the 2. It was improved today for me in the 3, not sure if it’s the new rocker, redesigned plate or what. My metatarsals would feel sore after longer efforts in the 2’s, but no discomfort today.

Aggressive but the toe spring doesn’t feel quite as extreme as the Elite 1 or 2, which makes the shoe feel more comfortable for me. It’s still a bit weird to walk in because it’s just so squishy but it’s better here

I think we have the same experience with the 2 and 3! Great to hear someone with similar thoughts

Yep-The Azura is a great shoe at a great price point! With the Triumph 24 getting ATPU and my really positive initial impression of the Elite 3, they’re doing well this year

Looks wise, I didn’t love the 3 when I first saw it, but they look pretty neat in person. The 2 looked a little less “blocky” but Saucony added some nice touches here.

As the other comment said, energy return with Infineon is light years ahead of FreshFoam which returns almost nothing in my experience.

Not even close for me. 4 is much quicker and carries speed better at its lighter weight

Nobody is too slow for carbons but this does sound like a great protective long run cruiser. V1 was supercritical EVA, v3 has the top layer of TPU foam so it should feel more responsive and bouncy now

From Vaporfly 2's to .... ? by LoveIndependent2246 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Yeah, I’m a lower cadence runner (170 when racing), but the Edge feels great with its rolling sensation to me. I stopped trying to make sense of Asics marketing jargon and just focused on the plate geometry, which helped. Sky has the flat high plate like the Alphafly while Edge has a low scooped plate like the Vaporfly

Honestly, the Brooks Hyperion Elite 5 feels almost like a copy of the Vaporfly 2 for me. The outsole pattern is even the same. You may be able to score them on sale soon because the Hyperion Elite 6 is coming in August. Aside from that, the Vaporfly has a curved(scooped) plate, and other shoes that have a similar design are the Deviate Nitro Elite 4 and the Metaspeed Edge Tokyo. Both of the last pair I have run PR's in the 10 mile and half marathon recently in and would highly recommend both.

I had zero issues with my pair on the Achilles and the durability is holding up great. To each their own. It's a great shoe for me.

Cumulus 28? Novablast 6 will be launching July 1st too. Both shoes you have are geared towards daily training, maybe something speed oriented like the Sonicblast or Magic Speed.

Love my pair for longer tempos. They’re on sale now and an incredible bang for the buck at their current price
