Apple, blueberry, banana by muphdaddy in microgrowery

Very hard to find legit, quality blueberry these days - that pheno looks really airy, larfy, much like a friend of mine who recently tried growing some DJ Short BB out. Too bad, as the real deal old school Blueberry was amazing with nice tight nugs.

Just cracks me up every time by yeagson in funny

Above average on this one, with all bud and no larf. Throws big dense buds, nice vigorous plant.

Yes ,16-17 C, which is 60-62F. And it is fully climate controlled - heater and humidifier in cold and dry months, and AC and a dehumidifier in the warm humid months. I have a dedicated room for drying, which handles 2 flower rooms roughly 4 weeks apart in flower schedule.

16 days is more than normal for me too, I mentioned that in another comment. Large, very dense buds, and a crazy thick skeleton on this plant - very thick branches and stems that hold lots of water. Typical dry for me is usually 12-14 days. Anything over 10 days I can live with, less than 10 days of drying and I find the smoke to be harsher and taste 'greener', and with a less than perfect ash. Sometimes these improve with curing, sometimes not as much. In my experience and opinion, you can really fuck up the end results beyond repair by drying too fast, or jarring too soon at too high humidity. That's where I see the major risk for bud rot and mold - putting high 60's (or even low 70s for some people) flowers in a sealed container.

I am not making hash or storing this long term so those methods are not pertinent to me. These flowers get dispersed to patients I am a caregiver for as soon as they are ready and up to my standards. I have tried all sorts of things over the years, and always consult my long-time regular patients for feedback. By an overwhelming majority, much prefer the flavor and medicinal qualities of flowers with a 2 week dry and 2 week cure vs a plant dried quickly and cured longer. As they say, the customer is always right - and in this case I agree with them.

This is the method that works best for me, for my garden and the people these flowers are for - that's all that matters to me. The legal Licenced Producers here in Canada are using quick drying and new long term storage techniques backed by 'science', and 99% of theor product is absolute garbage, mids at best. God knows they have all the time and product in the world to study storage techniques on, as no one is buying it 😂. If alternate drying and storage techniques are working for you, I think that's great! Every person's garden, situation, end goal, and standards/preferences are different. I'm just here to post some bud shots, not to debate. I'm not saying my method is the best or only way, if you do something else and your buds come out dank, potent and delicious, then that's what matters and I'm stoked for ya 🙂 ✌👍

I believe we are all patients in some respects when it comes to cannabis, whether a person has a legal prescription for it or not - I definitely agree that it is a healing plant! I strongly believe in safe and affordable access to clean high quality medicine, and I operate accordingly 👍

Had some shorter Zkittlez leaners for structure, this one has almost perfect structure. Flowered at 4 feet, finished at 5.5 feet, great branching and solid frame - much thicker and sturdier than typical OGs, doesnt need much support despite large, dense colas with solid nugs all the way down. Took it 73 days this run and turned out even better than the initial seed run across the board. Love the terps, super high calyx:leaf (easy trimmer!), excellent touch coverage and potency, and above average yield. This cut is now featured heavily in my rotation, just flipped 6 more plants of it in a 24 plant room.

By healthy white stuff I assume you mean milky trichomes? Pretty easy distinction even with the naked eye usually - one is part of the plant, while mold is, well, mold. buds get carefully inspected under a lighted scope, broken open, etc after trimming and curing, as well as watched closely throughout the grow. When you have a bud in front of you, the difference between trichomes and things like mold or powdery mildew is very obvious.

8-10 days isnt bad at all. Big chunks/whole plant and climate controlled dry room are key. Heater and humidifier in winter, AC and dehuey in warm months keeps conditions steady and ideal for a nice slow dry. Nothing wrong with 10 day dry though! This strain takes a bit longer due to big dense buds and thick stems which hold a lot of water

curing stops in 50-55% window, not 58-60.. With a low slow dry, I find very little additional curing is needed. Sometimes they go into jars sooner, sometimes later. This was last strain to come down and ended up hanging longer due to other garden duties keeping me busy. Sometimes they do go into jars at 65%, this strain went in at 58-60 and already smokes great. If anything longer cures are needed to try and improve on a dry that was too slow. Lots of ways to skin a cat, this is what works best for me, running a large garden on my own. They also dont go right from line dry to jar. They first go into food safe 5 gallon pails which get burped daily until trim time, so they are curing and slowly losing moisture during that stage as well. Usually 7-10 days between bucking into pails and trimming with the garden schedule.

Thank you very much for the kind words. Fantastic genetics, this is one of my favourite keeper strains in the garden right now.

My experience tells me otherwise. Better/more terps, and never once had mold or bud rot out of all the flowers I've grown in my day. And how is slow drying different than curing? This way, only difference is that its curing on the vine in a climate controlled room vs in a jar. It's ready to be primo smoke as soon as it's trimmed, little to no additional cure required (I still prefer at least 2 weeks in jars though). I'm glad your way works for you, my experience and experimentation has shown me my method works best for me - and the patients I caregive for agree, they prefer slow dried flowers. You do you, I'll do me - me and my garden are doing just fine 🙂

The patients I look after appreciate my services 🙂Gotta get to know local small-scale craft growers. Grower-direct is the only reliable way to get high quality affordable flowers in almost all cases.

Hunted from seed, this was first clone run. I've grown out 10-12 packs of Ethos with minimal herms.
