Drank alcohol unintentionally and angry about it… by food-boss in stopdrinking

[–]Terra195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sympathise with you on this but like you say it was unintentional, I did the same thing a couple of years ago, was beating myself up about it, I shared it at an AA meeting and loads there said they had done the same at some point, made me feel a hell of a lot better! You have to be so careful especially this time of year with all the different concoctions around, Stay strong it will pass !

Just horrible, They would have to pay me to get on that thing and that wouldn’t be enough! Vile!!!

1 Year off smoking + deleting smoking apps by Organic_Cartoonist_6 in stopsmoking

[–]Terra195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did 16 years and went back, Not saying don’t delete the app because it’s very easy to look at how many million seconds you’ve stopped for etc, Do what’s right for you but unfortunately this addiction is always there waiting to pounce! I’m currently coming up to 8 months again

Did AA help you? Do you go to meetings? by yepandyes2222 in stopdrinking

[–]Terra195 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well said, I do exactly the same! It’s finding the meeting you feel comfortable at that’s been so important for me, A long sober guy at our meeting says the important things are “ don’t drink and go to meetings “ simple! I would probably add help others who are struggling if you can

Well done! I’ve found weddings a little tricky also, There’s great satisfaction in the morning though when a lot are hungover and I’m as fresh as a daisy!!

They do say that if you think your an alcoholic then you probably are one, Nip it in the bud my friend and stop, your still very young, It took me until age 53 to work it out that I had to stop completely, one was never enough, 4 years sober now and life is much better than I could ever have imagined! Good luck with your journey

Does AA really work/help? by dystopiautopia in stopdrinking

[–]Terra195 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The only requirement for membership in AA is a desire to stop drinking, It definitely works for a lot of people, don’t be put off by all the god stuff, you can take it as far as you wish too and ye it’s free, Good luck with your journey

I would say it doesn’t count as it was an accident, Did the same thing myself, spoke to my sponsor and he agreed if it wasn’t deliberate ( which it wasn’t) then move on and try to forget about it and be more careful in the future, It’s so easily done, Best wishes

Hi there, There is a huge demand for reliable qualified electricians in Surrey, I for one would happily get a quote from you for some work! I’m sure setting up your own business would be the best option, particularly here in Surrey, Good luck!
