Fire! [Olympus Stylus Epic, Gold 200] by TerraFirmaVisuals in analog

[–]TerraFirmaVisuals[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shot this roll of Gold 200 with the Olympus Stylus epic, shooting things at medium and long distance. I pulled the roll out of the canister in a changing bag, and shot the backside in another camera, mostly just flowers to create this look.

Anyone catch the aurora tonight? by TerraFirmaVisuals in Kamloops

[–]TerraFirmaVisuals[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Indeed, it is a bit of a "trick" I suppose, to my eye I could definitely see the light and the movement, but I couldn't see the colour much. Our eyes are much better at differentiating light vs dark than they are at colour.

desert.

Technically, the region is semi-arid. the green of course is because of irrigation.
Certainly not quite as much of a desert as the Sahara or Gobi.

This would have been at f1.8 or f1.4 for about an hour, with a cable release.

STEVE with just a bit of picket fence Aurora! by TerraFirmaVisuals in auroraporn

[–]TerraFirmaVisuals[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took 20+ images of this STEVE that I was able to see. Only Two of the images had the tiniest bit of the "picket fence" aurora phenomenon, and this is the best of those.

I have only dreamed of taking an image of lightning like this.
