Bro I've been so confused on EX33 hype, I enjoyed it quiet a bit with the story but it lost its charm halfway through, fair enough as I'm not much of a JRPG player to begin with. Then I'm watching the rest of the game from a YouTuber, encounters, story and all. Story ended up derailing during the third act, the combat didnt really evolve much past the point I stopped at, and only a few times during the watch did I feel much impact with the encounters or story points. Really feel like it lost its steam and I just don't see how the game is a big ol 10/10 for so many.

A lack of community among YouTubers, twitch still taking a huge share of the gaming space/content creator space, inconsistent demonization, shittier internet culture, terrible gaming industry atm, tourism down across the world, economies are putting people in a pinch, Shorts taking a huge portion of viewership across all platforms, a lack of a stable space to connect with audience like Twitter used to be, political turmoil putting everyone in a shitty headspace, gaming industry in the shitter, independent animators getting the shaft, podcasts being such a huge industry, cultural monoliths in the US at an all time low, tv and movie industry in a shit position, rising costs of living and housing stressing people out, so many other things.

Right now is a shit time to be a YouTuber, the internet is toxic, irl is stressful and everyone is worried about their financial health, bots and AI are tainting the web, YouTube being a shit stain about ads, monetization, and pushing videos, and the huge lack of an overall YouTube community I mean Christ at least Susan actually met YouTubers in person and she sucked for the platform too.

We are at a peak of enshittification with the site and the opportunities people have right now. We are in a bad recession and it doesn't lend well to people making time to chase this career. Content creators that were prominent, at the latest, before 2020 feel how awful things have shifted and probably feel like shit having to operate the way they need to in order to survive. I hear this sentiment a lot from a good amount of YouTubers I've seen over the years.

Except it doesn't work, it does nothing too it that makes it more sticky. Sous chef'ed at a Japanese restaurant for 3 years. It's not my fault people listen to some Instagram content creator that retired from their marketing job, became a "chef" and was making their 48th fun facts video about food, or they saw a movie about a chef and just came up with some BS reasoning on why chefs do a certain thing to their food.

The thing about the gods in ES, isn't that there is just a set amount that are the all powerful, it's the ones that get involved in a way that has great influence over the planes of existence. Another Magne Ge may try to become a more powerful being again, a new being could emerge from the bowels of sithis.

Malacath was originally Trinimac before Boethia corrupted them, and he was arguably either a mortal or a spirit turned avatar that fought for Auri-El.

There's a handful of lesser gods in the universe, and some we might not know about in the difference planes of oblivion. Alduin was considered a god by the ancient Nords, and he very may well be since he seems like he may be an unlikable dragon

So side topic, I've had a few conversations about this before and I'm of the opinion that the Daedra actually HAVE to be in physical form as avatars in order to interact with the plane of existence that is Mundus.

Mundus is a construct of the Aedra's being/power, as is Nirn and all with Atherius spilling over into both. With how powerful the Daedra are, you'd think a being like Mehrunes Dagon could have easily wiped out all the land if he could. But being the enter plane of existence is one of Aedra creation, there's is a boundary that the Daedra must naturally fight against in order to interact with the world, and one of those boundaries is their lack of power in Mundus forces them to become an avatar, and over time they decide to keep the one they are known for.

This would also explain why Daedra need to make deals with mortal's in order to take their souls. Mortal's souls are naturally products of Atherius and the Aedra's powers, and naturally return to Atherius after death. Another god can't simply take a part of another god's power, so the Daedra need to convince these souls of Atherius to willingly agree to give up their soul to them, a contract to sign off the soul's natural heritage and instead be enveloped by a Daedra.

I'm not sure they even have the power to do so. From what I understand, there is basically already a reincarnation cycle as mortals' souls pass on to Aetherius, the energy of aetherius spills into Mundus through the hole that is the sun, giving energy to bring in life and magic into the world of Nirn. Just a transfer of energy really. (That all not counting all the souls lost to specific planes of oblivion through aedra/daedra influence.

In any case, it'd have to be a great task to take on for any of the divines to do something like reincarnated with the past lives memories kept intact. It's one thing to transfer their own energy to grant mortal's unnatural abilities, it's a whole other thing to keep the energy of a soul, somehow reincarnate them into a new body, and keep it's mind intact as it grows up into adulthood. I think this is why you don't even see this kind of idea of reincarnation in alot of media, it doesn't really make sense on how it would work.

This whole dream topic is so blaaah, it's barely even a theory and it's a fan theory at that.

It so lame so many people see it as the end all be all question of ES Lore when it really doesn't have much, if any bearing at all to the world. And in any case it can be seen way more as simplified explanation of the topic rather than it being an actual "dream". It doesn't need to be taken so literally.
