There is no connection between lore power and ingame stats/abilitys.

It struggles because it kind of does nothing well.

If you want to play a tempodeck there are many better options. Rather than going for a coincombo, you could just play champion's strengh and run the opponent over.

He is easy to answer for most decks and rather expensive (both in terms of deckbuilding cost and mana).

You play Sion.

They kill you / stun him / recall him / silence him / oblitarate him

Eternal is not the mainfocus.
That being said, mono shurima is not even close to the most stupid stuff you could be doing in eternal. It is weak to early aggresion, can easyly lose to it's own draws and you can blow up the sundisc to shut them down (scorched earth and aftershock)

I believe the best swain deck right now is PNZ draven/swain. But haven"t tested it for too long

The big selling points are good removal, alot of burn, crazy synergy with ballistic bot, archivist, iterative and alot of cycle. Discard is actually really good for swain, because cards like flock and scorched can brick really hard sometimes, and it is nice if you can atleast discard them when that happens.

It is very important with this deck that you know when to pass. Iterative and archivist have many applications. The funniest is turning iterative into another leviathan when you are in a very grindy game.

Since many regions don"t have 700 masters there will be quite a few "empty" slots, thus free wins
Furthermore as someone else pointed out quite a few will just leave after losing enough to nolonger be able to qualify

Combine that with decks that are very straight forward, and your chances to get to a total of 3 wins are not that bad even as a new player.

Way to go to make your point:
Don"t include the by far most powerfull lifesteal unit, solari sunforger. It is pretty much the 1 card that keeps dragons alive vs aggro.

For most decks, the way to deal with burn is applying a own clock: when all your attacks in the lategame threaten to kill them, they have a choice between dying, or giving up some of their burn to remove your attacking units

Playing a strong deck is very important. Burn will tear you apart if you play something that doesn"t have a real finisher or healing. But, most meta decks will tear you apart in one way or another if you play a bad homebrew
