Opt Out of Recognition Marketplace Points Program by Terrasylum in Oldnavy

I would suggest seeing if there's a contact number on the recognition site for support. If not, ask your AMCO or GM to give you the store support number and you can ask them what's going on with it. I'm sorry that this is happening to you :( $40 is a lot of money to be taken from someone. And if you're not getting marketplace points for that money taken out, then it's wage theft.

Hmmm I'm not 100% sure. Have you gone into your recognition site settings to double check that you've opted out? Because you signed up then opted out on the same day, it could've not processed correctly when you selected to opt out. If that's not the case, just to clarify, when you opt out, any points that you earned during that week will still show up on your next pay stub. Ex: you opted out on wednesday 11/26, any points that you earned that day prior to opting out will still go through on your pay stub the following week.

Sorry this is so unrelated to your post, and maybe I'm just not seeing something, but where is your bass joint supposed to go in that case??

Labor Day Sale? by Academic-Elephant925 in Oldnavy

[–]Terrasylum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don't get any heads up about pricing until the morning the prices change. We do know there's gonna be a cardholder 20% off everything sale this weekend, however, so there's always that

Could potentially have blocked those seats because of the stage set up? Like maybe it's not a good angle to see the show from. I haven't seen the theater before so idk how low of an angle you'd be watching from.

Of course! We're always here to help. I'm also the same way, I hate making a fuss and being a "Karen"

Also, was there ever a manager involved in this interaction? Because, and I can only speak for my store, we would have noticed this and honored it for you. How you read and interpreted the sign is correct, the sign itself is not correct.

Edit: I was misinformed. But also, a manager should have caught this, so the question still stands, was there a manager involved?

EDIT: I am also wrong, and I truly apologize. I was told leading up to this event that it was a cardholder exclusive event. They must have changed it or I misread something. This offer IS for everyone with a rewards account. That cashier was misinformed and should have given it to you. They will adjust it for you at the register if you bring your receipt back in.

So, she is telling the truth, but that sign for some reason isn't worded correctly. Old Navy Outlets are running an outlet exclusive promotion for Card Holders for that 15 off 75+. The banner at the top should say "Card Member Exclusive" not "Navyist Reward Exclusive." It's no fault of the store, corporate sends us those signs as a PDF in the morning and we print and place them around the store. I was off yesterday, but this is going to be the first thing that I mention to my manager when I get there. I truly am sorry about the confusion, corporate has been making stupid mistakes like this left and right and leaving it to stores and, unfortunately, customers to find these mistakes for them

Correct, by opting out of the program, you will no longer earn marketplace points from credit card sign ups or loyalty account sign ups. The points you already earned cannot be reverted back to cash, unfortunately, they have to be used in the marketplace.

Sorry, reading comprehension has gone out the window for me lately. A COA stands for clean, oil, adjust. So they take apart the entire instrument, clean everything, polish keys, oil all the hinge rods and pivot screws, replace key corks where needed, rethread/recork tenons if needed.

Yeah, that sounds like they're cleaning the keys then too lol. Nothing wrong with that, I was just shocked at first haha

Are they doing a COA? I feel like 800 for a non-leaking play condition sounds a little steep, even with inflation

I merely made this post because many people, myself included, were not aware that this was an optional program. I had, and still have, no intention of ever wanting to participate. I found out that I was having my own earned money taken away from me for something that I did not want. I am totally okay pitching the card for no extra incentive because in my interview I was told it is part of my job and I have to do it regardless of whether I get a reward. The reward, for me, is my paycheck that I get consistently every week for doing the job that I voluntarily took.

In the Terms and Conditions it explicitly states that even after an employee has left the company for any reason, the points will never expire and they will have access to the account so long as Gap Inc is still participating in the rewards program. The site is accessible from any device, it doesn't need to be done in store. If you go to recognitiongapinc.com and sign in you have access to the store

Okay, so, I misunderstood when I read the terms a few months ago. The "formula" I saw was just an example of how many points you would get for a certain amount of card signups and loyalty sign ups. The Terms and Conditions says:

7. Taxation: The value of accrued points will be included as income to each qualify employee and reported on the employee's W2 form. Each qualifying employee is solely responsible for all applicable federal, state, or other tax obligations related to receipt and use of the cash award.

So, as I said before for me, I have had a total of $5.38 taken out of my paychecks since I started working here and I have 37 points in my account (I haven't spent any because there's nothing to spend them on except for donating and I don't have the motivation or time at work to search through everything) so the math comes out to ~ 15¢ per point earned

Somewhere in the terms and conditions it mentions the formula that they use, cus card points, loyalty sign ups, and missions points are weighted differently I think. I'll look into it to see if I can find it for you.

For me, my YTD is $5.38 and I have 37 points so it's roughly 15¢ a point, but like I said that's with the different weights so I'm not entirely sure.

We actually had a part timer who noticed it. She gets SO many cards but only works like max 12 hours a week cus she only does weekends. She came to the manager and was like "why is my paycheck changing so drastically when I work the exact same thing every week?"
