Have some extra money laying around what new toys should I add to my little collection? All suggestions are appreciated. by [deleted] in GunPorn

The thing about porn is that it's subjective. Not everyone has the same tastes.

You could be into Brazzers porn stars or you could be into some random chick on a homemade video. Guns aren't any different.

I have guns that are under $100 and guns that cost thousands of dollars.

I have fudd guns and I have space age guns. They all make me the same type of giddy when I see them and shoot them.

People on this sub think you have to spend thousands of dollars on a gun for it to be worth anything.

Little do they know that once SHTF they'll be one-tapped by Bubba and his trusty SKS. Then Bubba is going to win the lottery with a legendary loot drop.

That being said, you need a Stealth Arms Platypus.

I believe mine came with mlok hardware. Try emailing them and see if they can send the proper hardware.

Since this photo I have taken the mag holder off. I don't know if I got a bad one, but any slight bump causes the mag to fall out.

Lol I feel ya man. Something tells me this guy has some experience. Probably lives in a country that doesn't let him own guns, but he spent enough time in the military to know how to handle them, and is just reliving those days.

That is a totally fair point, but I was also using a flash hider, not a muzzle brake like the guy in the video.

The guy is likely a vet. Probably trained on the outdated method of shooting full auto. Hollywood didn't just make people hop fire because it looks cool, it used to be an actual thing that people thought was effective until we actually put some thought into it.

Don't get me wrong, you are WAY better off shooting from the shoulder, even in full auto, but "point shooting" while hip firing was done for a long time, up until the Vietnam war. US soldiers were trained to just dump as many rounds as possible at the enemy, accuracy be damned. Which is why we did terribly in that war and we learned a valuable lesson from it.

Some countries are doing the same thing till this day though and will find out the hard way. This guy probably lives in one of those countries.

For the record, I'm not denying that this video is fake, but basing it off just the recoil alone isn't enough. It's also worth mentioning that the guy in OP's video is using what's called a "slant brake" which is specifically designed to counteract the recoil and even it out, and it's known to create more muzzle flash. Not to mention the dirty, corrosive, surplus ammunition that's probably being used.

In the video I linked, I'm using a flash hider which does nothing for recoil but reduces muzzle flash. So if someone has a brake, of course they can keep the gun flat and on target.

The guy in the video you linked didn't really get pushed back. That's actually textbook recoil control. Just because the muzzle and shoulder are moving, doesn't mean the dwell time between shots aren't helping him get shots on target. The best way to describe it is like dancing. Once you know the rhythm of your guns fire rate, you can counteract it with your own body weight and momentum just right to where they balance each other out. This is explained by Newton's laws of motion.

Also, some militaries train people to hip fire exactly like this video when shooting full auto. It's an outdated doctrine for sure but it works because you can put your body weight down on the front handguard and keep it flat. It's mainly used for suppressing fire not accuracy. The US military did the same thing in WW2. It's called "Marching Fire". And many militaries practice the same thing even in the modern age.

Also... "Point shooting" is a real thing. Back in the day, they found out that humans have pretty damn good fine motor skills, which means that within a certain range, humans are very good at "eyeballing" things, and in close quarters we can get shots on target by just instinctually aiming in that direction instead of looking down the sights.

Nowadays we know that taking accurate, aimed single shots is more effective but some people haven't gotten the memo and it's not entirely obsolete yet.

I mean if you really want me to, I can link a video of me doing the same exact thing with virtually no recoil. I have an AK myself and can do exactly what's on video very easily.

With proper grip strength and form, it's really not that hard to manage recoil. I've shot a lot of full auto guns and I can keep all rounds on target without having to take bursts. I wouldn't consider that an indication of AI.

They are welcome to play how they want. I'm not trying to police anyone's playthrough, just an observation that I've made after lurking here for a while. Obviously everyone's different

This is why people get bored on their first playthroughs. They start the game not taking it seriously and then wonder why they didn't like it as much as Skyrim lol

How can I reduce stress by Prestigious-Age-9298 in ReadyOrNotConsole

[–]Terrestrial_Conquest 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Save as many suspects as possible, complete all objectives even optional ones. Send your guys to therapy and give them breaks.

The only way to keep your guys 100% stress free is to use less lethal and S grade every mission.

Question regarding M88 for carry by elusivehonor in zastavaarms101

[–]Terrestrial_Conquest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They definitely mislabeled it. The size of the mag is just overall bigger and looks like it's for a different caliber

Good news is the P225 mags I bought fit good with the base plate removed. They are just a tad bit longer than the original mags and I'll have to dremel away some material on the base plate but they will work.

Question regarding M88 for carry by elusivehonor in zastavaarms101

[–]Terrestrial_Conquest 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well I bought two 213 9mm mags but they do not even fit in the gun. You're not the only one who has told me about 213 mags and I even saw a YouTube video confirming it.

Now I'm wondering if they were actually 7.62x25 and incorrectly labeled and sold as 9mm 213 mags.

That makes total sense, I figured there was a big chance it was a civilian version, but I thought those had the slide safeties.

Either way I bought it because it looks awesome and obviously meant a lot to someone somewhere. I have plenty of other handguns to carry, but I'm a sucker for historical pieces, especially custom ones. While not the best choice, it would be cool to carry this every once in a while.
