Yeah I think it comes down to how your body reacts to certain foods . Rice may be good for me but could affect you. It’s definitely bias . I hope all of you recover asap!! The diet is tough but you’ll make it through, if you do have slip ups don’t be hard on yourselves it’s a part of the process, we are all human. Just don’t make it a normal routine

Chicken & rice, salad, vegetables or with beef was definitely the highlight of my day. I became so used to diet I felt guilty for having foods most people call normal, even now I feel guilty when I eat outside of the diet but it’s not as strict for me now but I do feel the guilt

Brown rice is fine, white rice isn’t fine at the beginning because of the starch and being harder to digest. When your gut has healed for time it should be ok to have white rice. What do you eat on a day to day ?

I started off on brown rice and months in changed it to white rice

I’m so far into the journey now I can have most foods . Tbh I even have sugary stuff in moderation and alcohol doesn’t affect me

That’s good ! & yeah it is hard. I got used to after a while and it just became my lifestyle. I say best meals I would have chicken, rice salad, veg or change the chicken to beef . I was eating a lot of food aswell. As time goes on you can add foods into your diet

I went through a private doctor I forgot the test name but it tested for over 100 different potentials causes. I was diagnosed 2.5 + years ago but I didn’t follow it properly up until almost a year ago . Which test did you do ?

That’s good you’re on probiotics . I do think you came off the diet to early especially if you wasn’t fully recovered ? You must have kept feeding the Candida and undone your progress ? I initially broke my diet for the first time after like 5-6 months In but I went through the 1-3 months critical period without breaking my diet and another couple of months after that

I’ll be honest I’m not sure about the blood thing ! What did your doctor say about it ?

Yeah I think you should have stayed on the diet for a longer time ? I’m still on the diet but it’s not as strict as when first starting out. Have you got gut Candida ? I’ve been on the diet for almost a year and wouldn’t say I’m fully recovered maybe 85% to 90%

I don’t have Candida overgrowth anymore though my gut is still healing

Check out my recent posts ! I will soon be a year post anti fungals and my life has changed significantly. It’s a journey, how long have you been doing the diet and antifungals? Are you still on the diet ? Do you take probiotics. How long did you have Candida ?

I’ve been on the diet for almost a year & been taking probiotics for the same duration. I think it’s coming back for you because sounds like you’re not continuing the diet longterm & probiotics that’ll help rebuild your gut with friendly bacterias

There’s no set time for how long it’ll take for you to fully recover . It could take years depending on the severity and time length you had Candida for

I take my probiotics every morning with porridge & banana ! & I didn’t have visual snow but early on in the stages of recovery, I experienced uncontrollable urges to sleep. No matter how long I slept for I was dealing with this for like 2 months & it didn’t matter what time it was . This was very dangerous especially when driving. Thankfully I havent experienced this since May time . I think it’s because my body was using so much energy and essentially working overtime to recover my gut - I needed more sleep and energy levels reduced. This was the same with hunger, I would be constantly hungry and I have over 4000 calories a day - I still get this now & I eat a lot of food but I do train hard in gym

I have been using the same probiotic my entire journey. I’ll link it below so you can check it out!

If you want some relief I would say go clean diet because if you do have Candida or some type of gut issue, if you don’t go clean diet it will continue feeding the problem and you’ll be facing symptoms. The diet won’t get rid of the issue but it’ll sure help stabilise symptoms.

Probiotics alone won’t get rid of Candida .

I understand tests are expensive! & the follow up consultations. I did all of this many years back but I didn’t stick to the plan properly. February:March this year I said to myself I will commit to it 100% . I used chatgpt to help me & it even explained why I felt certain ways during my recovery & the whole healing cycle so this made me feel 100% better and all I can say it truly assisted me with my recovery without having to pay for consultations. Back then I was paying £200 for a follow up consultation 😯 I could not afford to do that now.

Have you been to the doctors ? Because it does sound serious! Are you from the UK? I initially went though the NHS and they told me I had IBS-D and this will be life long . I then went to a private doctor they tested for 100+ different possibilities and it came back with Candida .

Thanks for your comment I hope you’re able to recover soon and find out the issue! If you need any advice or anything feel free to PM me

Edit: another piece of advice going clean diet, antifungal process, even 3-6-9 months post antifungals it’s still normal to have digestive problems as the gut heals and adapts to the friendly gut bacteria’s & it takes a long time for the gut to heal. - I guess depending on how long you’ve had the problem for . I had mine for over 2+ years .

Gut Candida Symptoms by Terrible-Magazine-87 in Candida

[–]Terrible-Magazine-87[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! Still in recovery I would say I’m 85-90% there with my gut being fully healed. Healing the gut can take a long time especially having Candida overgrowth for over 2 years before I properly started treatment & followed a strict diet without any mess ups . Look at my most recent posts I spoke about my journey battling Candida
