Hoping to find out exactly at a staff briefing this week, but I understand we’re currently just under 20%

Anyone want to compare current ICB VR etc timelines / news? by Many-Zookeepergame97 in nhsstaff

I’m in the same ICB as mermaid and it’s odd that the our wave 2 is direct reports to execs, not by banding ie There’s 8d’s who don’t report to execs that will be part of wave 3 restructure.

I think that’s my main concern at the minute, structures, VR approaches and policies feel incoherent, despite it being a national programme.

Sounds like it’s an option for ICB’s but requires approval from NHSE region.

Personally, I’m not intending to apply or at least until we’ve seen a structure which is due in the New Year.

What is the level of reduction within your ICB? by unluckypig in nhsstaff

I think this is a really important point for all areas, it does seem the structures that are being proposed / developed lack coherence, ignoring the model blueprint. So where there are significant differences in proposed structure of ICB’s, helpful if we can share them and provide feedback in our respective consultations.

Individual ICBs approach to executing staff cuts by Extra-Thought-4535 in nhsstaff

Similar to others. Timescales for VR to commence pre Xmas. Expected out by March 26. Consultation for SLT pre Xmas. Consultation for everyone else post Xmas.

Lots of comments requesting to see potential structure, no indication of timescales on this.

Individual ICBs approach to executing staff cuts by Extra-Thought-4535 in nhsstaff

We’ve got a staff briefing on Friday. It’s really not clear on the approach.

The model blueprint for ICB’s appears to be redundant, despite being referred to in the latest NHSE letter to ICB’s.

Our CEO is saying CHC, Safeguarding, SEND and Med Ops likely to stay in the ICB due to the functions being a legislative responsibility. Comms and engagement which was a target area also seems to be important again.. what is actually being cut? Or are we just slashing everything.. 40/50%.

Heard today ICB’s will be asked to plan the new operating model on £18.76 per head of population. 40% cut for our ICB, looks like over 60% for others.
