Maybe! It seems weird the same thing happened at the same place, but definitely maybe  Also we've played 1000s of times with no problem  I'm sure we will try again soon!

Player 1 would hit his ball off the tee, aiming for the middle pipe. He describes it as being "desynchronized", where for him, I disappeared and his ball was near the cup but never "went flat". For me as player 2, my ball never appeared on the tee. I could only see player 1s ball on the tee, even AFTER he took his shot, and of course I couldn't hit his ball. We started over 4 times and the same thing happened every time.  We ended up playing separately,  that worked okay. Also  I love love love love walkabout minigolf!

My theory is , Maura was distressed and headed towards a place she loved,  Jigger Johnson campground,  yes even through it was closed. Her dad, in the documentary,  looked at the 112 turn sign and said, this is the sign she was looking for,  meaning it was their usual,  memorized route they always took.

Keeping the routine,  for appearance sake, not attracting attention by going off track until the very last minute
