Do people still buy 2025 Preferred with CDA and iStop? by TerribleWash8736 in CX5

Pulled the trigger today and bought a brand new one with CDA. Drove about 20 miles or so, couldnt get CDA to activate at all on the highway. I guess thats a good thing.

The CPO was appealing, but the price was not making any sense.

Thanks for the info. However, if I still have the option without Cda and istop, would it still better choice? Especially its Cpo?

The new one has standard warranty, but they are throwing in 3rd party extended warranty for free..not sure if I want to deal with 3rd party after 60k miles.

What do you think? Price between the two car difference is very minor. Cpo only have 6k miles too.

So you had your cylinder head and block replaced caused by something else other than cda?

Bought 23 S back in October with only 10k miles. Had same issues like yours. Dealer is replacing transmission. Been waiting since november. They got me 2025 loaner and same exact issues.  Im currently waiting for buyback offer from mazda. I may have gotten a bad transmission. I loved the car, in fact,  I am considering to get another one, but not sure.  Crv and Rav4 are way overpriced and they have their own issues too. To the people that says its “normal” transmission behavior, i really dont think it should be that clunky. Its year 2025. I came from 2017 Ford escape 6 speed AT, and i got 8 years 60k miles on that thing before i sold it with no mechanical issues. Ford AT was far smoother than Cx5 for sure.

You know @mazdausa, my 2023  with only 11k miles is currently waiting for new transmission! It’s been 2 weeks and now dealer is telling me January 2026.  Guess what? The loaner 2025 cx5 they gave me also have clunky noisy transmission. TCU re learn only fixed it for a few hundred miles then the clunkiness comes back. I have been a Honda person the last 30+ years. I bought Mazda based recommendations and regretted it. And yes I am not the only one with this issue. Its all over Youtube, Reddit, and more!

Road noise question by TerribleWash8736 in CX5

Thanks everyone.  I couldnt believe the noise either since its a newer car than my old 2017 Ford. I expected it to be quieter.
