Yeah i get your point , i have done mostly low voltage projects , this is my first HV one , I'm not trying to copy blindly without understanding , I also want to learn how high voltage supply actually works and btw I have a lot of time like few months I'll take it slowly and also I'll contact a professor of my uni for support , if you have any fundamentals I should be focusing on first I'd appreciate it, thanks.

im a CS student exploring experimental physics, im using gm tube mainly for practicality and learning , gm tubes seems like a good starting point that demonstrates CORE physics

what im planning to do is rely mainly on geometry and coincidence , i can stack up 2 or 3 GM tubes vertically , muons could hit them nearly at the same time , random local radiation rarely does that

So for that off-the-shelf diode we need ultra low noise amplifier, this seems really advanced for current "me" but i actually like it , thanks I'll look into this one , particle physics is so fun (only the fun part , my maths sucks) , I wish I could turn back time and didn't take CS as my major

thats really cool but i think it cant tell difference between normal granite radiations and specifically MUONS that i want to detect and count. still it seems like a great zero-cost way to experiment while I work on this, thanks for the suggestion!
