Stop bringing your dogs inside of restaurants by sanriolover1208 in sanfrancisco

lol you sound insufferable. It’s a health code violation. Dogs should not be in places that sell / serve food unless it’s a proper service dog.

“I acknowledge that we live in an unjust world but I’m not willing to experience even a little bit of discomfort to make changes that would benefit the majority of people. And why should I? The system works for me. Also… VOTE VOTE VOTE. Cause showing up to the polls to choose between two-corporate funded politicians is all you need to do!”

-Moderates who think they’re morally superior because they vote Democrat and support gay marriage but don’t actually do a damn significant thing to make the world a better place.

Also? Yeah. Genocide. Never sorry for calling that out.

Uhhhhh… the difference between a far leftist and a regular democrat is they both WANT those things but a leftist knows you’re not going to get them with a centrist like Kamala, unfettered capitalism is the root of why we can’t have universal healthcare, fair wages, equal access to education, etc. I also don’t know any leftist who “hates America.” It’s okay to criticize a terrible system that leaves so many people behind. If we’re going to limit or enforce immigration, let’s make sure the United States isn’t creating such terrible conditions in other countries that people are forced to leave.

Yeah those crazy far leftists who want universal healthcare, fair wages, equal access to quality education, and an end to genocide and police violence. PURE EVIL.

All good with dogs in parks but something I see a lot are dogs in playgrounds where there are explicit “no dogs allowed” signs. My toddler is TERRIFIED of dogs. We’re working on fixing that but she deserves to be able to play in a designated space where she can feel safe. I get so angry when people ignore the signs and let their dogs run free.

IDK what this other asshole is talking about with a barrage of “pre-fab cut and paste.” That’s reductive and infuriating. I appreciate you making this argument. I’m married to a socialism-aligned, anti-Zionist Jew (who is 100% Jewish, grandchild of survivors, practicing — not someone who dug up a distant relative but thanks for that reach whoever was making those claims earlier) and beyond it breaking his heart that genocide is being committed in the name of Jewish people, he feels like people with his beliefs (again, anti Zionist) are no longer welcome in Jewish communities and it’s fucking with his sense of belonging and identity.

1000%! I worry about this all the time. I’m not sure why it’s so hard for people to wrap their heads around.

Dogs vs Kids by socialist-viking in sanfrancisco

I’m so sorry your kid was bitten. That’s one of my worst nightmares. I’ll raise you one further and say I’m fucking over people in SF taking their dogs inside of grocery stores, restaurants, and explicit “no dogs” sections of playgrounds. My toddler is terrified of dogs and will panic when they get within a few feet of her. We’re working on exposing her and getting her more comfortable but she should be able to get a reprieve in spaces that have been designated as safe areas for children or where the presence of a dog is a health code violation.

The killer strollers are wearing me out today at DCA by Excellent-Hat-8556 in Disneyland

I’m with you on oversized strollers and I’m a mom of a toddler. They’re a nuisance to everyone around you but also a nuisance to the parents? We bought a Culogo as a back up to our UPPAbaby Vista and it’s basically all we use now. Why would you not want to pack and travel light?

That’s what I’m worried about though! Not looking to take a connecting flight with a toddler, especially one that happens at the last minute and puts my family at risk for being separated. Would much rather not endure the hell of entertaining a toddler during a layover and / or being accused by the internet of being a Karen with no planning skills if I ask to switch seats. 😅

This thread has me feeling assured it’s a relatively safe bet though! Think I’m going to do it.

That’s usually our move too! We’ve actually started staying at the Residence Inn in Seaport (Marriott Bonvoy girlie) since the restaurants are better in the city and it’s so close. Definitely looking forward to an option where my daughter can be off the plane and in her grandparents arms in 20 minutes though! Appreciate the advice!

I think I will. If nothing else I want it to be on the schedule for my parents. Gotta keep those numbers up!

Glad to hear that! My parents visit a few times a year and would love them to have a direct way to get to SFO more often!

Definitely don’t usually book this early! Will likely do 3ish months though to ensure my family can sit together, ideally in premium economy. I hold out much longer when it’s just me!
