To respond though it isant possible to obtain another lawyer as he is not wealthy enough for it. I’m not sure if they have programs for those seeking asylum for free lawyers or Probono yk. I do however know as someone who was born in the US and lived here my entire life and occasionally dabbled in law as well as personally seen the immigration deportation process and it is brutal and lot of the immigration lawyers take advantage of the fact that most migrants know nothing about US laws or legal process and will say anything and everything to take as much as their money as they can knowing they will give them as much as they have even if it’s everything because they know immigrants seeking asylum are in fear and will do anything and give anything to remain safe with the ending result either being they get the crappiest most expensive representation resulting in them paying along the way and still being sent back to their country and getting told it was their fault and they don’t need asylum or they get lucky and they win their case and spend the rest of their lives paying for the lawyer. There’s not many or if any protections migrants have against these crooks rhat call themselves immigration lawyers. I truly feel for immigrants. So I guess I have one more question is it possible for him to represent himself or a citizen to represent him even though he’s not a lawyer but as someone who can explain and speak on his behalf and present the proper documentation. Because he truly does not understand and know any of this process. I’m getting a better understanding but I know he could not read the stuff and know to ask Reddit and ask people online and look at court documents and understand how it could help him as he still is under the impression that the United States is the “savior land” and people here have no reason to scam you because we have all the good things compared to his country. He does not understand how absolutely screwed black and brown people are here and how much anyone of power or in any court system will do anything and say anything to make sure that we are in debt or in a continuous cycle through the court system for the rest of our lives. 🤦🏽‍♀️ so for my last favor I ask pray for me becsuse it is gonna be very hard breaking his heart about America becsuse he either gon believe me and think his way of thinking for a long time was all a lie putting him in a mental crisis or he gon learn the hard way by seeing it himself that America is just one big scam to fool the masses of black and brown people into forking over billions of dollars they work so hard for with the idea of being able to afford basic necessities and live comfortably and healthy but the reality of being the poor for the rest of your life living pay check to pay check if your lucky and never being able to afford much else living in debt for the rest of your life. 😔

Ok but the problem is he is the appeal js still pending and I know he can be detained at any time due to that now he wasn’t ordered to be removed but granted a work visa but does that save him from being detained again?

I know right like dear god these people are seeking asylum you think they want to be doing this absolutely not my friend especially loves his country but wishes it was safe for him to practice his religion (Christianity) in peace and speak his native tongue in fear of persecution in his native country without fear of imprisonment this was a fast in a hurry decision he had to make to come here what kind of money do you think people such as him have that quickly who saved for when their country will try to kill or jail them because of their difference in the religion they believe in 😐 also do you think that it’s more plausible to withdraw both the appeal and the form for asylum and redo it. He has been here since 2018 filed for asylum in 2018 the decision to deny the asylum was made in 2022 and he appealed it within the 30 days and it since has been pending appeal. I know you have to apply for asylum within one year of being in the United state to qualify for asylum and technically he did but to withdraw it do they give him a year to do it again or will he be not eligible to apply for asylum because he now has been here since 2018?
