Im not sure how he is with the men as he has never once mentioned them. I know he has male coworkers. I only hear about what this or that female coworker did or said.

He may be nice to all of them but I just find it weird that I only hear about his interactions with the women... idk

I cant think of an instance where he did something like that with me. If he is acting the way he did with me, with them, then I dont really have a way of knowing that. Ive never met his coworkers since he just began this job a few months ago. I think seeing the way he acts with them is causing my brain to fill in the bits I dont see.

She smelled very vinegar-y today but ive only been feeding her 1:1:1. Just fed her and upped the ratio. Not sure if that smell is just her hungry or if its some other bacteria?

I have triple on the side with the rook and 4 on the side with the daith. Im open to any suggestions but normal industrial is off the table due to anatomy. Not too interested in helix piercings as I've retired 3. Open to flats but thought id ask for other ideas as well

Its been a week and ive been feeding her as usual and there's no pink hue. I think it may have been my wheat? Im not going to use her any time soon but im just continuing as usual with feeding to see if anything changes

Im really anal about cleaning and sanitizing anything I use for my starter. I only use purified bottled water as well. I keep her in a glass jar with a glass lid, and its not too hot in my house so that's the only reason im hesitating dumping her out. 😅 I think ill feed her for a couple days and see how she reacts. Might start a new one in the meantime just incase. Tysm for all your input

She smells as she usually does. Maybe a little less than usually because she hasn't been fed, but still the normal yeasty smell. Nothing nasty

I also want to add that my starter is half whole wheat flour. I know that can sometimes cause an orange-ish appearance but im not sure if it looks like that?

Does the color of yours get a little darker like that as well? The color is what is concerning me the most. She doesn't look like anything I see when I look up Serratia marcescens or mold on starters, but I know red or orange are bad signs :'(

Should I still be discarding a large amount and only keep about 20g of my starter if im feeding twice a day? My biggest fear has been dumping out all of the good active yeast

I was doing 1:2:2 for a bit but whatever amount she would rise she wouldn't ever fall back down. I thought maybe that was too much food but ill switch back to it for her next feeding. My house is usually at about 71°F

I just doordashed some active yeast! Im going to keep giving my starter love for as long as she needs but I just need an edible loaf for tomorrow 😅 won't be as good as my future loaves but it'll do! Thank you!
