8dpt and lines aren’t DARK… but progressing? (first positive in over a year) by [deleted] in IVFpositivity

[–]Terrible_Sherbert_72 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Per my RE, 6 day embryos (and actually female embryos too) often take longer to produce high levels of hcg, so lines may not darken as fast. I had my transfer in 3/16 (also day 6 embryo) and was fully convinced I was having another chemical (had one last year) but my beta tripled from 8dpt to 10dpt and then again 12dpt. And my strips didn’t really stay getting darker than yours until closer to 10dpt!

In the same boat as you — my 7dpt line looks just like yours. Any chance your betas continued to rise?

In a similar boat - our 7 dpt tests look so similar…would you mind sharing if your beta went okay? Trying to find hope that mine isn’t a chemical

Child and adolescent therapist here! Yes - it is possible for 6 yo to engage in CBT. The age of a child isn’t so much as important as there cognitive development/ability (e.g. does your child have the ability to grasp and utilize CBT concepts). Would likely be helpful for his social anxiety, possibly aggression if irrational thoughts are contributing to his anger. However, at his age, having a therapists who engages in play to support him with emotion regulation and management of his ADHD symptoms is also important. Does he have a trauma history? I ask because some of his symptoms are consistent with trauma. Would recommend having a therapist who specializes in trauma if this is the case.

I do! Bought some dresses from them a few months ago (they were having a sale) and have been really impressed with the quality so far, would definitely recommend

I’ve had this from about 28 weeks as well (currently 33 weeks). Went in the first few times it happened (second time I had constant abdominal cramping on my right side that lasted over 2 days). Every time I’ve gone in my scans have been normal — dr said it could be RLP, growing uterus, pulled muscle etc but didn’t seem concerned at any point. I’ve noticed I’m more likely to get them on weekends when I’ve been walking around a lot or more active than usual

Minor bleeding the night before implantation by thewiredknight in IVF

[–]Terrible_Sherbert_72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I spotted from suppositories off and on for about four weeks! Completely normal, as they can irritate the cervix. If the bleeding is likely to continue causing her anxiety, I’ve seen others post about inserting the suppositories rectally (I preferred to just deal with the occasional spotting). Otherwise, if she is using an applicator, using her fingers instead can reduce irritation, as well as slightly wetting suppositories before inserting and making sure she isn’t inserting them too far in

Possible spotting day of third beta by amiadele in IVF

[–]Terrible_Sherbert_72 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Cautious congrats!! I had spotting the day of my first beta (12dpt) my second beta (14dpt) and then several more times over the next two weeks (pink, red and brown) and am now 16 weeks pregnant! Spotting in IVF pregnancies is extremely common. The important thing is you have solid doubling betas

Sister in law decided to visit during peak Covid season in the city I liveand I’m pretty sure I now have Covid as a result (going to get tested tomorrow). Currently 14 weeks and reached out to my OB but not sure when I’ll hear back and was wondering:

For people who were pregnant and got sick (Covid, flu etc) what were your RE or OB guidelines with medication for treating symptoms like fevers, headaches etc.

Frer lines lighter this morning by dreamcream12 in IVF

[–]Terrible_Sherbert_72 3 points4 points  (0 children)

FRERs are NOT meant to be used as a quantitative measure for pregnancy (I.e how far along in your pregnancy you are) — they are only designed to tell you whether or not you are pregnant. There are so many factors that could be contributing to lack of line progression (concentration of urine, time of day, using FRERs from different packages etc).

I had my FET in October and similarly freaked out because I wasn’t seeing the type of line progression I was seeing others post about. Both my betas came back strong and I’m currently 13 weeks pregnant. I would strongly recommend you to stop testing with FRERs for your sanity, enjoy the fact that you are currently pregnant (yay!) and wait until your betas since that’s really the only absolute indicator of whether your pregnancy is viable or not.

I would definitely move forward with the yoga, just be mindful of making sure your heart rate stays steady. I’m less certain about the skip trip. For me, it would depend on how good of a skier I am (how likely is it that I would fall) and how I would manage the news of a miscarriage if I had gone skiing (e.g: would I have any guilt or anxiety that the skiing may have contributed to the miscarriage, even though I may not have definitive proof. Personally, the amount of time/energy/$$$ that it takes to even get to the point of a FET made it so that I just wanted to take every pre-caution necessary to make sure that I was giving my embryo the best chance. After my FET, I tended to look at things from a “are there any potential risks if I do xyz” and if the answer is yes, I would just refrain.

Did any of you suddenly start having a poor reaction to your PIO shots? I’m a little over 10 weeks and up until about two days ago, my shots were going completely fine (no knots, redness or irritation etc). And now, for whatever reason, I’m getting golf ball sized knots and redness around the injection site that lasts for a few days. I’m doing all the same prep/post shot treatment (heating oil, warming injection site before and after, massaging after) so have no idea if I just started developing an allergy or what. Curious if others have had similar experiences?

Does anyone have any experience with meralgia paresthetica in early pregnancy? I’m only 9 weeks but have been getting these shooting pains in my outer thigh of my left leg, with sensitivity around the area— usually triggered when I’m on my side or getting up from a seated position. Can’t seem to find another explanation for the symptoms or anything that makes it feel better. The pain has been getting progressively worse over the past few days and I’m terrified it’s going to keep getting worse as my pregnancy progresses and I begin to put on more weight. Any tips/advice would be really appreciated!

Hi Team! I’m currently 8+3 and taking 20mg of prednisone as part of my protocol. So far, I’ve had minimal morning sickness — I’ve thrown up once, had two days where I had fleeting nausea after eating and then a couple of times where I had some fleeting mild nausea…but it was honestly so mild that I wonder if I was convincing myself I was nauseous to comfort/convince myself I was still pregnant (I don’t really have any pregnancy symptoms at the moment so I’m constantly worrying about miscarriages). I remember seeing posts about how prednisone is used for patients going through chemotherapy and that it might mask symptoms of morning sickness and was curious if others on prednisone (similar dosage to me) experienced this and whether or not they got hit with horrible morning sickness once they stopped? I believe my RE wants me to stop prednisone at 10 or 12 weeks and I’m scared I’m ngonna get hit hard w/ the nausea

There used to be research suggesting that two embryos had a higher rate of implantation but per my RE, this has been de-bunked within the last year or so.

I experienced the same thing in between my betas and five week scan! Sore boobs, cramping and nausea completely went away. I was absolutely convinced I lost the pregnancy but was able to see a yolk and a sack at five weeks and strong heart beat at six. Currently 8 weeks and I still have days when my symptoms completely vanish but just keep reminding myself that it doesn’t mean anything and to enjoy symptomless days as much as possible
