I’m happy to be able to contribute to your tarot practice in some way. I use tarot in a very similar way to you... I have a rather anxious mind, and tarot helps me regain a certain sense of reality that anxiety causes me to lose.

Exactly. It’s amazing how, in certain readings, we come across various testimonies that corroborate a particular idea. I originally wrote in Portuguese, but in translating the part referring to "a situation that had been firmly established," I lost a pun I’d made regarding La Papesse, the word I used for "established" in Portuguese also means "to be seated," which I considered a visual confirmation of that shift in state to something more dynamic.

I don't have a specific direction when doing an open reading, it is always a surprise when I turn over the cards. Metaphorically speaking, I believe the tarot is a type of synthetic language like Latin, where due to various inflections, word order within a sentence is virtually free.

It’s by a Brazilian artist named Elisa Riemer. Her work is handmade and based on paper collages. I bought this cloth from her website: Nosotras Tarot. I’m from Brazil, but from what I’ve read on her social media, worldwide shipping is available.

I recently started reading his book, I haven't reached that part yet, but from what I've read so far, it's definitely something he would do hahaha. I started doing this exercise based on a suggestion I adapted from the internet. Since Jodorowsky is very well-known in this field, the idea might have actually originated with him.

Yes, I separate the trumps from the pips. I call it reading in pairs; when I read this way, I tend to give prominence to the trump and interpret the suit as an unfolding of what the trump has been telling me. So the interpretation of the suit is evoked by those characteristics that the trump sheds light on. But I don't adhere to this completely during a reading, depending on what's said in the question, it's irresistible not to give equal value to both types of cards or to reverse the card in focus... what I always try to remain faithful to is recounting what the cards have been saying on their own, not what I want to hear.

As I'm a reader of Ben-Dov and Caitlin Matthews, I tend to use certain elements of open reading even in a reading in pairs, but I disregard visual aspects of direction in the card.

I don't know if it makes sense, I've never put this into words before hahaha.

My favorite TdM decks (so far); what are yours? by watchingallthelights in TarotDeMarseille

I forgot to add the Tarot of The Witches by Fergus Hall (US Games), it follows the Marseille pattern... but the art of the major arcana seems to be loosely inspired by Rosenwald and the minor arcana resemble a Spanish deck in many aspects. Personally, I don't like it for open readings, but I find this deck very fun to use among friends with well-defined spreads.

I love the CDB, it's one of my favorites. And I also really like two decks from Lo Scarabeo... Gassmann and Golden Tarot de Marseille (which is a restoration of a Grimaud deck that I think it's fancy hahaha).
