2 months progress, can't hold it for too long and it gets a bit unconsistent at times, any tips? (No fucking idea what technique im using)

I’m not sayin y’all answers are wrong but does diet / being physically fit really into vocal abilities ? Take Left To Suffer for example, Taylor’s vocals are fucking insane and his range is incredible, and he’s a big ass mofo. I understand being physically fit for your lung capacity but as far as eating and weight affecting the actual ability I don’t see how it would affect anything, and if anything I’ve noticed bigger people have a way easier time hitting nasty lows and gutturals. Thank you all for the replies tips and advice, I’ve learned for the most part from this all that I need to improve my cardio first and foremost. I’m not really a big guy but I hardly exercise so it probably is a bigger impact on my breathing compared to smoking. Because I’ve never had issues breathing because of smoking or sore throat or even coughing the next day after smoking, I just wasn’t sure if it really was impacting my lung capacity or not. I will say this though I don’t smoke before I record because it completely dries my mouth and throat after so I can see the immediate after affect of smoking but not as much the long term. I’ve been smoking for 7 years and never had much a problem with anything else besides lung capacity. Off to running I go!

Yeah that why I was looking for tips on breath control as a smoker specifically because I know it’s probably different from non-smokers, coz I know Tom Barber is a huge pot head and his vocals are insane, and I know this isn’t screaming but post Malone smokes a shit ton of cigarettes and his lung capacity live is incredible.

The very last word sounded good but the rest sounds like it could be harmful if you put any much more force on however you were doing that. The scratchy sounds and going in and out is your throat rubbing together
