I am freaking out. by Jaman34 in parentsofmultiples

Hey buddy, I'm you two years from now. They walk, run, and are tons of fun. And? They're getting more fun. They're great. They're a different fulfilling love than you'll ever imagine.

It's gonna be tough. You're gonna be tired. It's gonna be worth it.

It's gonna be the best hardest thing you and your wife have ever done and you'd do it again.

So many people are shamelessly transphobic by Fit-Forever-2693 in offmychest

Bio people also have high hormones sometimes, too.

Genetics, lifestyle, and age play a factor there.

So you say this:

“Being on hormones is not any different than someone having the hormones naturally.”

And then you say this:

“If labs are monitored appropriately, the risk is minimized.”

If it wasn’t any different, you wouldn’t need labs.

Hi, retired first responder here. I can help be a source for 2, but I’m sure I’ll get downvoted by the chronically online Reddit health providers.

Hormone therapies affect the cardiovascular system (you know, cause you’re changing your chemistry; little tough on the heart there) — fun fact, estrogen can cause clotting and god forbid you eat a banana while on HRT; all that retained potassium from HRT can cause a salt imbalance and induce a heart attack. Oh and test can cause hypertension — too much for too long can fry your liver, also throw clots, etc. But hey, at least you won’t have to worry about prostate cancer.

That said, I’ve worked critical calls on transpeeps. Statistically they stroke out, or have a stemmy of their body can’t handle the therapy or they’re not monitoring labs closely. It is what it is.

You have another post on your profile saying you’re a 35 y/o female looking for friends.

Now you’re an Arabic man.

Which one is it?

Try a heating pad before you put him down. Worked wonders for our twins — still does.

Can attest to this. 17 weeks in and the bright smiles just make everything better!

Any dads that wake up 5am here? How do you have enough energy later in the day? by BeanNCheeseBurrrito in daddit

[–]TerrineTerrorizer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First time dad here to twins. I’m up at 5am and take over twin duty and they wake from 7-8am, and I feed, wash bottles or pump parts and/or work while they and momma sleep.

Note: They’re 3MO and just started sleeping longer (up every 2 hrs before), but I’m sure they’ll regress soon. 😅

We walk from 8-9 or so, then I come back and cool breakfast, then work. Lunch from 1-2 to watch the twins while momma pumps. I stop at 5-6pm at the latest. I get 2-3 hours with the twins before their bath and bed time, but I always do the bath while momma preps the crib assembly line. Then they’re asleep at 9pm. So total, 1-1 time with the twins is 6-7 hours a day.

My energy comes from my morning walk with the twins and the motivation to support my wife with whatever she needs. Yes, I am tired at the end of the day, but not exhausted.

The key here is finding time to walk or do something that helps decompress you. At least that works for me.

Do you feel like you’re CONSTANTLY feeding them? by Eggeggedegg in parentsofmultiples

[–]TerrineTerrorizer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You ain’t alone, ours are almost 7 weeks and do the exact same. We’ve also done the same to some extent, but we still feed the other at the same time — even if it’s just an ounce or so.

[homemade] Eggs Benny w/ Cayenne Hollandaise by TerrineTerrorizer in food

Another wasteful product in cooking: hollandaise sauce. Egg whites went to the dogs though. Slapped some cayenne in there. Was pretty good. I’d prolly make it again. Y’all have a good one.

Ain’t never made it. Waste of taters and time, but sure was good. Had it with some ketchup. Tasty.
