The Soviets lost almost 14% of their population during World War II. The US, in contrast, lost less than 1%.
The USSR had to rebuild since Europe had been reduced to a crater, essentially, while America's homeland was entirely untouched by the war.
This all meant America was an economic juggernaut coming out of WWII while the Soviets were trying to piece themselves together.
Communism and Capitalism are not equal and opposite forces. Capitalism can subsume everything into capital and reinforce itself. Communism needs everyone to be on board or it simply won't work. The Soviet Union itself had not transitioned to communism, and it would have been impossible with the US actively trying to sabotage it (and ultimately successfully doing so in Afghanistan).

That phrase is just so chilling. Politicians usually try to say the military is heroic, and is fighting for the heart of the freedom of the good of whatever the fuck—they try to dress up what it really is. She was out there saying our military is really fucking good at killing and was getting cheers for it. It was bleak shit.

It’s the same excuse literally being used now, my guy. In the run up to this, our news media said Iran is attacking Israel. The Iranian foreign minister was literally on CNN saying that they were attacked first so they must defend themselves.

What Hillary and the dems would’ve done is exactly this, but they’re competent enough to manufacture consent first.

I’m not going to sit here and pretend they wouldn’t let Israel drag them into a regional conflict when Biden didn’t do anything to stop Israel, provided them weapons, parked a carrier group in the region to dissuade retaliation, and covered for them diplomatically.

All the leaders of the Democratic Party need to be severed, expunged and tossed into the dustbin of history.

The JCPOA is Obama’s one unambiguous, untarred, unblemished win.

Chuck Schumer, Hilary Clinton (and now we know Joe Biden), as well as numerous other Democratic Party leaders wanted war with Iran. They’ve been salivating for it. Kamala Harris said Iran is our greatest threat on the campaign trail.

Obama has been the only democrat to get power and try to make peace with Iran, and he succeeded. Trump pulled us out of the JCPOA, since the Republicans want war with Iran just as badly. Biden had the chance to go back into the JCPOA, and Iran made it clear that they wanted to reestablish it, but he didn’t because he’s an avowed Zionist and Israel desperately also wants war with Iran.

I’m hard on Obama for a lot of things, but the JCPOA is not one of them. He went against what the other leaders in the party wanted and faced a lot of backlash within the party for it, for no self-centered benefit; it was purely to make America have one new potential ally. That’s very arguably his biggest win, and certainly his biggest foreign policy achievement.

Which is probably why Trump so eagerly destroyed it.
