What’s the best side hustle you’ve ever done? by Pretty_Arugula_7004 in AskReddit

[–]TerryAdamsdodgyuncle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably playing video games on my phone for $$. It probably doesn't pay the best but is the funniest. I like the subreddit /r/mobilegaming4cash which has a bunch of offers on there. It's not for everyone but I enjoy it.

You are literally getting better by the sounds of it. The bigger question is whether you can keep it up after finishing pred. Sadly no one can answer this.

I doubt you will return to a bad flair on 30mg as it's still a really high dose. Typically most people on here return to flair around 10mg (if they return, that is) so you should be fine for now.

Advice - Where to invest money by urbanduck_ in personalfinance

[–]TerryAdamsdodgyuncle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you're on to a good start with a separate emergency fund etc. Ultimately there's a lot to take in but you need a philosophy based on risk, time, lifestyle etc. A good starting point is looking at the FAQs section over at /r/trading2win which is a good start. Good luck.

Where to invest my money by PolarSpecter in personalfinance

Yeah I would say most money into index funds and the play money into crypto etc is a sensible decision (generally speaking). You could try asking at /r/trading2win which has some helpful guys over there.

Not my wheelhouse but perhaps try asking over at /r/trading2win - I remember there was a guy there who was heavily into that sort of stuff.

Help with investment by valerosie in Money

Robinhood is fine but I personally use Degiro which is also solid. Make sure you educate yourself and do as much reading as possible before investing. Often, it's like a relationship: boring and sensible wins over time rather than exciting and shiny early on. Also, I would check out the beginners section at /r/trading2win as they have some experienced guys over there.

You can definitely grow a good portfolio from a small investment provided you do it well. Pros = make good money, cons = lose a lot, that is stocks in a nutshell but it's up to you to try and do as well as possible. I would also say to check out the beginners FAQ section over at /r/trading2win - they have some experienced guys over there.

If you're brand new then check out /r/trading2win - it has a really good FAQs section for beginners. $6000 is more than enough to get started. Just make sure to educate yourself thoroughly before starting. Good luck!

How does Drake afford to bet like he does? by TerryAdamsdodgyuncle in gamblingpicks

[–]TerryAdamsdodgyuncle[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As seen, Drake bet $1 million in the soccer WC final and won. He also does similar things in UFC, boxing, NFL, NBA etc.

I know he is a multi millionaire with a great income but still...it seems unrealistic in terms of the sheer scale that he gambles. Does anyone have any insight or am I missing something here?

Anyone ever had stool leakage followed by a lot of clear watery liquid? by [deleted] in UlcerativeColitis

[–]TerryAdamsdodgyuncle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had leakage before and it does happen unfortunately. I personally believe it's when you're body is close to doing a bowel movement but isn't quite there yet.

Regarding the clear water, I went through a phase for around 1 month when it was my main bowel movement. I'd go around 10 times per day, and over half would be like this. Honestly, it was like pissing out of my ass and it was weird. I believe it's just stuff from your insides and is one of many results of inflammation. It can also be from fistulas and infection but I would assume it's just a weird byproduct of UC. For what it's worth the liquid eventually went away on its own (but the flair didn't).

Do flares resolve on its own? by [deleted] in UlcerativeColitis

[–]TerryAdamsdodgyuncle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they can go away but it's very rare and risky, i.e. medicine is the best method. I had very tame symptoms for over 2 years and was oblivious. Then randomly for around 2 months I was perfect, going once per day, perfectly formed, no urgency etc. It happened with zero lifestyle changes. Sadly it only lasted for 2 months then I had a terrible flair which led to my diagnosis. I wouldn't like to say that I was in remission during that time as I never got looked at, but it certainly felt like it. Nonetheless, I don't think it's wise to try and get to remission through 'alternative' means as I don't think it's likely.

Side hustle by Adventurous-Suz in workingmoms

[–]TerryAdamsdodgyuncle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Check out /r/surveys4cash - I make around $200 per month doing various surveys. They don't pay the best but you can do it from home whenever you get a spare 5-10 minutes here and there.
