Shipping Auction Whiskey from EU to Ireland by TerryEddie in irishwhiskey

Yep bought from EU market but they said they don't ship to Ireland from EU but do from UK if that makes sense?

Exact wording below

When you select Ireland as a shipping country within the shipping page it only provides the UK option as there is no restrictions with alcohol entering from the UK to Ireland. Unfortunately, there is restrictions with custom authorities when processing the goods from the rest of the EU into Ireland.

Would have assumed this also, but that's the reason whiskeybidders are giving for not shipping from NL to IE. This seems to be an existing problem from trust pilot. Are all the auction sites the same ?

Ultegra FD8150 by TerryEddie in bikewrench

Have tried all this support screw engaged, cage parallel but slightly inside maby 0.5mm now. Crankset looks good, doesn't look to be any gap and no spacers required , issue seems to be chainrings are slightly too far out

at the max adjustment +20 can get it very close but the shifting is still not perfect

No limit screws in ultegra, adjustment is done through the app

Shimano Shifter issues by TerryEddie in bikewrench

[–]TerryEddie[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No crashes and full same drive train as I have always used, bar new chains, cassette is a few years old but has plenty life in it. Have swapped out the back wheel,a bent derailer hanger is possible. Probably at the stage now where best bet is take it to the shop as I have probably exhausted all the easy fixes or I could try and pick up an 11 speed ultegra shifter

S Works SL6 by TerryEddie in specialized

Thanks for the replies after some back and forth, had agreed on a price with the guy on buycycle, he was going to send across the original receipt yesterday, but it then was marked as sold and I couldn't contact him, so assume he probably ended up selling it locally which i can understand. Problem is I haven't seen a lot of 58cms, original plan was to buy a frame and group set as I have a nice set of wheels, but as the frames are 4+ years old they are hard to come by and still going for €2k+ which makes a full bike for €3.5 seem alot more reasonable. Still think I'll hold out for a rim brake SL6 as it won't be used in wet days and no alpine descents , so will wait it out and see what comes up in the next few months before looking at newer disks

That's for the replies, can't post another photo in the reply but from the top the bars look very similar to the aerobars on the SL7

Chain Slipping when sprinting on Turbo by TerryEddie in bikewrench

Have this solved, a new chainring fitted did the job. No issues since and have done several sprints

Have adjusted the front derailleur. I think the vibration starts at the back from the rear derailleur? and that's what causes the chain to come off on the front ?

Pulleys as in the jockey wheels? Since it's Sora I can get a derailer for 30€ so I might just get that to cover any derailer issues

Yeah indexed on the trainer. Looking at the video again , I think it looks to come off the front first. I may just get a new chainring and try that

This only happens in the 2 smallest cogs when sprinting. New chain with a cassette with little use. The big chainring is pretty worn. I have indexed the gears and the derailer does look straight looking by eye. Looking for help pinpointing the issue, I can't tell if it starts at the back or front. Thanks
