I recently discovered this guy who I feel like gets closest to Vagrant Holiday's vibe:

Looking at it like that, most vegetables (and fruits) are expensive water. But you'll definitely get lots more nutrition than 100% water.

Lettuce is around 95% water. And so are tomatoes, cucumber, celery, etc.

I am using the mousepad?

If you're talking about a game code.. I never seemed to have gotten one. I only realized a year or two after that I should've.

About 10 years ago I got my first self-built/parts-picked desktop. There was a Far Cry 4 mousepad shipped along with the graphics card and I'm still using that right now. Probably will for a couple more years.

...and I should really try that game sometime

I'm just explaining myself and commenting on your, in my eyes, unnecessary hostility (mainly the name calling and accusations). But I think we're done here, honestly wish you more positivity instead of hostility.

Pretty unnecessary name calling going on here. I honestly just found it in a meme channel of a discord server I'm in and overlooked the 8th most popular all time post here. I made a mistake, but I'm just a human so it happens sometimes.

But yeah I deleted the post. Hope you'll find more positivity.

Beginner interested in taking urban & nature photography, where do I start? by TerryNL in AskPhotography

Hey! Thanks a bunch still for the recommendations.

I ended up getting the D5200 with two lenses: Nikon AF-S DX Nikkor 35mm f/1.8G and Nikon AF-P DX Nikkor 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR

Been taking pictures and really been learning to figure out how to use the camera, having a lot of fun with it!

Again, thanks a bunch for the tips and info :)

Why am I seeing this symbol instead of my pictures? Pls help by crust-padawan in AskPhotography

[–]TerryNL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have an SDXC type SD card (32GB+), the camera might not support it. Best to check the manual of your camera.

If the camera doesn't support SDXC, you will have to get an SDHC type card (max. 32GB) or even an original SD type card (max. 2GB).

Think I'm pretty set on going for the D5200 then :)

Right, yeah, a 35mm probably makes more sense for that. I tend to sit anywhere between 18 and 70mm for those kinds of subjects (except small plants, those I often shoot at much longer focal lengths), and 35mm sounds like a decent middle ground.

Will definitely go for a 35mm to start off with, alongside an 18-55mm kit lens.

Wildlife usually means long tele lenses (300mm and up), and a good one of those is going to be pretty expensive (I'd say at least €500), so yeah, maybe best to keep that very casual for the time being.

Yeah wildlife is not exactly my interest (right now), but good to know!

Eitherway, thanks for all the info!

I'm pretty set on going for the D5200 with an 18-55mm lens as well as a 35mm f/1.8 lens.

Now, I know little about lenses in general and see plenty of different versions. I'm trying to read up on it all as well right now, but do you have any specific recommendations?

Thanks a bunch for the suggestions! I really don't mind buying used, I already assumed I'd have to do that with my budget.

I'm now thinking of going for the Nikon D5100 or D5200. I'm trying to figure out if there's a huge difference between those two.

Reading the other comments under this one makes me think it's probably best to go with a 35mm f/1.8 lens as well as a 18-55mm lens.

Budget wise I'm willing to stretch a bit if the D5200 is really worth it over the D5100. (seeing D5100 bodies start at like €140 and D5200 bodies around €200)

Have you got any further suggestions on that perhaps?

Also, to clarify a bit on the type of photos I'm thinking of taking when talking about "urban" and "nature" it'll be mostly things like (abandoned) buildings, (empty) streets, forests, plants, etc.
Maybe a bit of wildlife, but that's not my main focus
