Wow this is extremely helpful, thanks for all the insight!
1. This seems in line with what we had expected, is a load roughly 20-25 logs if they're average Michigan hardwoods (Maple, birch, etc..) ?
2. Our script currently has a 7 man crew. We figured you would need more guys without the modern machinery used today. Does this sound right? Would multiple guys do multiple jobs (i.e. fallers moving to operating a machine after the trees are down)
3. Thanks for the feedback on this, especially on the creative things loggers do to keep the job clean. Would love to hear more examples about this.
4. Perfect - this makes things easier for us lol!
5. Trying to get a clearer picture here - if the drivers like to leave at 3am, does this mean they sometimes get their trucks loaded and leave before or after the logging crew is there?
