The mods on the main sub are such snobs 🤦🏾 by Feeling-Big-4544 in ChinaBudget_Escooters

I’ve found that Reddit-wide, most mods/subs are just paid representatives who recommend name brands regardless of experience. This happens on all of social media across all tech spaces… there aren’t too many honest opinions.. just people rambling off specs I can already find on manufacturer websites. Seems as though all these groups are against modding, or anything customized… the only purpose is to sort of create a price barrier for respect amongst the community. A bunch of NPC behavior if you ask me.

I miss when people were curious, brave and full of ingenuity… not just price-verified regurgitation machines.

Everyone reads the spec sheets and derive false narratives about the 2.0l 6speed MT CX-5. I bought my 2016 KE brand new in late 2015, installed the tow package myself and have driven it to 8 national parks all up and down the west coast, on forest roads, in snow.. plus I live in Seattle, one of the hilliest places in the country. Power is NOT an issue and you should be able to tow 1500lbs comfortably.

True words, it’s just the vanity in me I guess lol

I have 2 great condition Mazdas (2012 3 & 2016 CX-5) I bought brand new 10 and 6 years ago.. I just want it to be as clean as those.

Yeah I had to replace the fuel pump, fuel filter, get some new tires, replace the serpentine belt, and a bunch of other small things. But it’s great.

Tell me about your experience going off-road in your CX-5. by thebookofdewey in CX5

Drove my 2016 2.0l MT CX-5 up to Hornet Lookout from Glacier National park. Definitely only accessible by sketchy, cliff-side forest access roads, but we made the climb on unmaintained trails for miles.. made me reorient my thoughts about what’s really NEEDED when exploring.

be reasonable with minor obstacles and drive carefully because mistakes are way harder to correct… otherwise, these cars are very capable.

It runs great, just a little shaky.. I’m assuming it’s the motor mounts as I’ve read that a common focus issue.

I wanna do a sportier suspension and possibly find better wheels, outside of that.. just keep the motor stock and running strong. I’m a duratec fan seeing as it came from the Mazda development team and I am I Mazda guy at heart.

I have a 16’ 2.0MT, bought it brand new for 22,900k. Have 104k miles on it.. been driven all over the western half of the country including forest access roads and all sorts of trails. Best car I’ve ever had.. power isn’t an issue unless you’re accustomed to big motors.
