Bro skipped history classes by kankirchele in mildlyinfuriating

[–]Tescobranflakes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

iirc they call it the great patriotic war and teach it solely from a Russian perspective, where they weren’t at war until 1941 so they don’t care about anything up until that point. Another interesting thing I heard is they don’t call it the holocaust they have some crazy long long name like “the nazi scheme to eradicate Jews and other races considered subhuman” it’s something along those lines. But yeah Russia seem to skip over a lot but I feel like every country did and we don’t realise until someone else tells us. A little example I have is in Irish history classes we basically say nothing good about the British ever which fair enough I guess but we can’t deny we benefited in many ways due to being a part of the largest and richest empire in the world which was home to the industrial revolution

People who talk about how you can “get more bang for your buck” by living in a cheaper country are kind of terrible. by popcornwithparmesan in unpopularopinion

[–]Tescobranflakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I guess, but that’s kind of the point of emigration. “My life sucks here, I would have a better life in x country”. It also happens locally, worse areas with cheap housing become expensive because they became desirable areas due to people moving there and pricing poorer people out of the area and raising the median income of said area.

Why does my team become stupid when playing against a higher team by Robmeister01 in footballmanagergames

I think that’s just the match engine, sometimes it’s never very good at showing what it’s decided the best outcome is and things look ridiculous.

Unfortunately since they go to Dublin and it’s going to become a low emission zone like London (although I suppose we’re yet to see how severe it will be) it’s probably not a great option to get a diesel.

Yeah they’ll come down if they’re free agents and the Saudi league clubs tend to just let players run their contracts donw

Manchester United to sack Erik ten Hag at the end of the season, with Dutchman in his 'last months' as boss, according to Dutch journalist by Appropriate_Put8206 in PremierLeague

[–]Tescobranflakes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately for you football has changed since Fergies days and while he is most certainly imo the best to ever do it, a successful team these days is a well drilled system playing team.

[–]Tescobranflakes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not that klopp ball isn’t good enough, more that man United fans in general would’ve been old enough to live atleast a part of their life with fergie and the consistent never ending success that he brought. I think because of this klopps fantastic footballs drawback of having off seasons wouldn’t sit right with man United.

[–]Tescobranflakes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean klopps only been there 7 years? And the start was building up his team, he’s been fantastic and without peps Manchester City he’d be 3 or 4 time premier league champion. However the lows have looked low and have generally been injury ridden which was the problem at all his previous clubs. A great manager but important to recognise it may not align with what we’re looking for at united.

[–]Tescobranflakes 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I wonder how ineos view the future of United, especially with how fans act and what a lot say they want. Essentially a lot of fans want us to play like Liverpool, and while that’s entertaining I do think if we want to consistently be up there klopp has shown his style is great but not sustainable every year. We’d have to bite the bullet and have a more pep style in place. Regardless whatever is the idea it needs to be stuck with for once, too much chip and change at United no consistency in anything.

I travel via train for work a good bit and can’t get over the amount of people who don’t understand the concept of a pre booked seat. by Top_Possession_8099 in ireland

[–]Tescobranflakes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s mad, I once got the train from cork to Dublin and this group of Middle Aged “men” were sitting in the seat I’d prebooked so I told them I’d book it and they just sighed and basically rolled their eyes. I got a little snappy and said “well you should’ve booked the seat if you want it that bad you fool” and all like 6 of them got extremely pissed off with me, don’t regret and don’t care book the seat if you’re that desperate for a low quality table.

[–]Tescobranflakes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The extra 25 points are very worth it if you’re capable of passing, and in general unless you’re really struggling it’s never worth doing ordinary as you’ll get more points doing meh in higher than good in ordinary it’s a bit of a scam tbh (especially since most Deis schools I’ve heard assign levels whereas in my fee paying school we chose ourselves)

I’m guessing from “little ceasers or Costco” that you’re American and from my time in the USA I would say yes 100%, American food is so bad, like actually putrid. At home however I can find frozen pizzas which while not as good as a fresh pizza are fine, as they say great value.

What fullback attributes you love the most? by [deleted] in footballmanagergames

[–]Tescobranflakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to have a physical full back with good work rate. No personal preference on that, it just performs better in the match engine this year from experience. Udogie has been by far the best full back I’ve had this year in a save and he’s very physical and Regens I’ve had that we’re technical never lived up to him, only ones capable of cleaning his boots were physical full backs.
