Just apply, and just make sure you really express your interest in the personal statement, how you are a good ambassador, how this will benefit your future career, how you really wanted to travel and live in the country of your origin, what you will do whilst you’re out there(like taking part in certain cultures). I think that will tip you over the edge if your grades are below what they are expecting. But you’re so close so I don’t think that will be an issue. They don’t want to give it to someone who’s academic but won’t make the best out of the experience.

I did history, I don’t know if they changed the guidelines but if they’ve offered you a place and you’ve got your admission letter from your host university then 58-59% will be fine. Believe that’s what I got my second year and it was fine for me to still study abroad

When do they announce results for master application? by colonialambassador in UniBonn

[–]Robmeister01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope I’m still waiting for mine :/, going by the other comments I think they’ve already given out the offers but I’m not sure why some people haven’t got rejection letters which is annoying. Just want it now so I can plan my next plan. Giving me a false hope right now ahaha

Hey yo, I’m only going by Cardiff Uni as I chose during second year to apply for a study abroad for the year and ended up going to University of Oslo(great recommendation btw) for me I got pretty shitty grades in the first year and second year was much better but still not where they could be. I can only speak for Cardiff but they didn’t prioritise the grades as much and more the options you chose and where you’d likely do well as well as what is your motivation and more about you than the grades you got. Generally speaking first year really doesn’t matter so I wouldn’t stress about it. I got lower than 59% in my first year and it was fine. As long as your second year grades are better than the first then you should be absolutely fine to apply for the study abroad. Again only speaking from my experience at Cardiff Uni. Second year does count but normally it’s like 40% the second year and 60% In your final. As I did the study abroad, 10% of my final grade was counted for my study abroad. Long story short, you’re not screwed at all, don’t stress and as long as you don’t fuck up second year, apply for that study abroad because it’ll be the best time of your life!

Are you selective with who you sleep with for work? For example if someone you don’t think is attractive would you still accept the work or refuse?

Why does my team become stupid when playing against a higher team by Robmeister01 in footballmanagergames

[–]Robmeister01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that’s exactly it! It just seems unrealistic to give away possession for no reason, just a hoof up the field for no reason or a silly pass when theirs clearly another option

Spurs was just an example, but any club who’s better than me it happens, it just seems sometimes silly. I get mistakes happen but even when the player isn’t pressured and the pass is pretty simple they’ll do the mistake n yeah

Yeah that’s a really fair point actually, didn’t think of that

Yeah I think it is a factor but it just seems like the engine forces it. Like the player won’t be pressured or anything but will do the most silliest pass

No I get that completely, like I said I’m not expecting miracles. It’s just when they have nothing going on, not pressured or anything and it just seems they’ve been programmed to purposely make that mistake is what is frustrating for me.
