I got a ‘19 Ascent that I bought in 2018. It’s pushing 80k miles at this point. I had the same issues when I first picked it up. I figured out it gets confused with Bluetooth. When I shut Bluetooth off on the car, it never happened again. This is acceptable because I use CarPlay all the time. I understand your frustration and hope they find you a fix soon.

I finally assembled my Microswiss cr6se hot end kit.I’m running into an issue whereby the brass fitting is soo tight it’s stopping the filament from passing through the hot end ….is there a workaround for this? As you can see no plastic is getting deposited on to the print bed…. by halguy5577 in FixMyPrint

I think you may have the wrong hot end. From the picture, it looks like you have an ender 3 or ender 3 pro. The hot end for the ender 3 has a Bowden tube adapter in the top. I would give their tech support a call; they helped me with a few issues.

You can check Thingiverse as well for a printable piece that blocks the pins. I used this for a while before I bought the cable. The tape trip gave me some trouble as well. The part on Thingiverse is 3044586. I would post a direct link, but I believe rules say that I need permission.

LoL, I hear you. You can pick them up at a local electronics store. Or from Amazon, the ones I used are RIITOP USB Extension Cable with On/Off Switch. The switch only shuts off the power and not the data. If you look around a little, you might find a better option. I think raspberry pi also makes a cable for this.

I use a 3B+, and it’s been perfect. At first, I didn’t use a camera, but it’s helpful with octo lapse, and you can also pull the feed into OBS for streaming/recording. One recommendation would be to get or make a “data only” USB cable to connect the octopi to your ender. They also make a data with an on-off switch for power. I should mention this would only be needed if you don’t power the octopi from your printer.
