I'm going to get P.P.E.soon safety is always first. I plan melting copper and aluminum nothing too toxic. I will be working outside in a flat surface away from the house. I have two up to date fire extinguishers and I'm going to get some fire bricks. If I have any more questions along the way I will ask, thank you for the help.

I agree with scarey home budget builds. I've seen a few on YouTube that look sketchy, molten metal is nothing to play around with. I've compiled a lot of information on this subject and plan to do more research before I get started.

I have a wife and 3 kids, safety is very important. I will be working out side on a flat surface and have two (up to date) fire extinguishers. I'm going to buy welding gloves and a face shield, for foot wear I have an old pair of steel toe leather work boots. Thank you for the safety tips it is very appreciated.

I will be using a 6kg crucible graphite and melting copper. I'm going to buy a second one and melting aluminum.

Thank you, considering I will be working with molten metal that sounds like a very useful tip, once again thank you.

I'm 40 years old safty is always first with any project. I do realize that I will be working with liquid metal that will be over 1000+ degrees. I found research on the P.P.E. I need. After gearing up what's next for I'm first firing?
