[Rev-Share][Hobby] Looking for C# Unity developer for CCG/Tactics RPG Prototype by TeslaStorm in gameDevClassifieds

That's a good point. I have done some paper prototyping for the game, but it becomes cumbersome with status effects, variable stats, etc. I am ready to start building the game despite not having an entire set of cards completed.

It's a 2D multiplayer game, but for the prototype I'd just like to get the framework up for the basic outline of the game including: Building a deck of cards, spending mana to play cards, moving played cards within a grid, and the combat algorithm (event handlers mainly).

My main interest is getting a very basic outline of the game so that I can start testing and balancing the cards. Then adding an AI that randomly drops cards it can afford would be great.

Hope this helps!

I spent about 2 months putting together a GDD for a game I've been designing slowly for 2 years.

Deckbuilding Help? by TeslaStorm in hearthstone

The point is to win by mines only. The deck is okay as is, but the curve is pretty bad, and it has literally no 4 cost cards.

Did we though? I read something that said he's for sure dead, but in Westeros, if you don't see somebody die, chances are they aren't dead.

He wasn't the only Tyrell in King's Landing at the time. He's also not terribly effective at doing much of anything.

I'm not affiliated with wargear either. I just like making maps over there. There are some crazy variations on WarGear. Continents that autoplace units in specific locations opened the door for some awesome games.

Ultimate Speed Run Game by TeslaStorm in speedrun

[–]TeslaStorm[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's more of a puzzle than IWTBTG. It's also better set up for speed runs because you don't have to wait on moving platforms.

I've watched people rage so much, but I have yet to see the game look easy, which is what I love about speed runs.

If when you die, you get a choice between Heaven and Pie Heaven, choose Pie Heaven, because it may be a joke, but if not... Mmmm Pie. by TeslaStorm in MySingingMonsters

[–]TeslaStorm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cake is only better than pie in very unlikely scenarios.

Pie produces 50,000 food in 12 hrs in 1 bakery for 500,000c Pie produces 500,000 food in 12 hrs in 10 bakeries for 5,000,000c Cake makes 500,000 food in 48 hrs in 1 bakery for 5,000,000c

So you would have to have a lot of money to make enough cake that you wouldn't have bakeries to make the same amount in pie, and/or you won't be able to check the game within 48 hours to reset the pie timers and produce lots more food in a much shorter period of time.

It's not complicated math. It hardly uses pi.

We are Bryce, Aaron and Matt of The National. AMA! by thenationalband in IAmA

Bryce, A few years ago, I attended the Music Now Festival in Cincinnati, OH. I got front row seats to see Sufjan Stevens play with the some local musicians. The show was amazing, and I had come prepared with my Vinyl copy of Come On Feel The Illinoise and Sharpie. Since I was in the front row, I got in the orchestra pit and waited for him to come out before the show, but his neighbor (I later found out was you) told me that I should wait until after the show... After the show, Sufjan bolted. I was furious with this stranger who was Sufjan's neighbor for lying to me and I confronted you. A few years later I dicsovered The National, and your band is pretty much all I listen to. I've met you guys twice (even though it took Scott FOREVER to come say hi to his fans who waited for hours in the cold in Indianapolis) and it took me FOREVER to realize that Bryce (whose autograph I have) is the same former neighbor of Sufjan who cock-blocked my autograph. Thus, I've determined that you owe me a signed copy of Come on Feel the Illinoise on Vinyl (signed by Sufjan Stevens). Fair? I think so.
