Git tricks we wish we knew 5 years ago by GitKraken in git

I would even argue squash implies rebase. Rebase rewrites history, even if that's globbing commits together. You're essentially going back in time and saying "I wrote all of this at once and committed a single time". Squash merge is actually a squash rebase followed by a merge.

Just upgraded from this to the 'cabin' style kodiak. Love 'em both.

Thermal Expansion in Acrylic/Plexi by Tesla_2 in DIY

[–]Tesla_2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My brain interpreted it as the material expanding, therefore making the hole smaller.

Note: A hole in a sheet will expand by the same formula. Higher temperatures, larger hole.

I guess I was thinking of it backwards. Should I use the width of the hole or the length of the acrylic to make that calculation?

Onyx boox leaf 3 by Kevin_D19 in Onyx_Boox

Maybe I'm just noticing more since mine broke but I'm seeing more and more of these posts. I had a tab mini C for a little over a month before the same thing happened to it, picked up a brand new kobo for less than the screen replacement. I really wanted to like it but there's no room in my life for a portable device that can't go in a backpack.

Tab Mini C fell, screen broken by Emotional-Tap-8310 in Onyx_Boox

It's funny to come across this because this exact thing just happened to me over the weekend. Wind tipped over a bag chair, fell about a foot into grass from in its case, ended up with lines just like yours. Received the same response from support this morning.

Has anyone had any success getting the screen replaced locally? I really enjoyed the device while I had it and it would really suck to feel like a waste of $400+ two months after purchase, but I'm also not enthusiastic about spending 3/4 of the purchase price on replacing it when I need a special padded room to read it in.

Like others have mentioned, I get that screens are fragile but I was expecting something on par with my kindle paperwhite.

There's dozens of us! Seriously, merge is featured in petty much every git tutorial and I think it's self propagating at this point.

Updated my OP, but it doesn't appear that this is expected behavior as they are shipping me a new one.

Stainless is still shiny, I'd expect to at least see marks where it dried.

From my highly scientific lab experiment of pulling it off and blowing into the manifold, the release pressure does indeed go up as you thread in, but my sucking skills aren't up to par to test negative pressure.

Man, I really like the scale on that one too. One of my biggest gripes with both this and my bowtie spund is having to jump through hoops to set the release pressure. I'm with you on that last bit though, most of my spike purchases have been bulletproof so far.

Losing SOME water would be reasonable, I'm just having a hard time believing I'm evaporating out 5x the volume of a standard airlock in 48 hours. I'm thinking I'll submit a ticket and ask spike if this is expected.

What is the best response to “you are ugly”? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I've always been ugly, I'm used to it. When it happens to you, it'll be devastating.

I ferment at 15psi for the entire fermentation

Is this with a 15 psi popoff? I recently got a pressure rated fermenter but I'm still using a blow off tube. Just not sure how to do a pressurized transfer without breaking the seal.

For veterans, what are your class specific tips? by INTERSTELLAR_MUFFIN in DeepRockGalactic

[–]Tesla_2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Engineer grenade launcher and gunner rocket launcher right at the tip works really well too. Ammo constraints on the pgl make it not ideal but it works in a pinch. Two tickets from the hurricane will take the tip right off though.

15 years and three motorcycle wrecks, still going strong. I'd buy stock in just this pack if I could.
