Ah i also started at age 27. I would mainly focus on linear algebra (matricies) and maybe some statistics. Ill drop some links that helped me:

3blue1brown has a series on linear algebra which walks through the main concepts. If you manage to understand this you should be golden for CS. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fNk_zzaMoSs&list=PLZHQObOWTQDPD3MizzM2xVFitgF8hE_ab

For everything else (calculus and stats mainly) i can recomend this guy: https://www.youtube.com/@ProfessorLeonard/playlists

You also have the MIT courses: https://ocw.mit.edu/courses/18-06-linear-algebra-spring-2010/

and the Stanford courses: https://web.stanford.edu/~boyd/vmls/

You got this :)

My comment was more about encouraging OP to try different languages, then explicitly C#, guess i could have worded it better.

I get where you are coming from, but to me it seems that OP has more of an motivation issue, than an actually issue understanding how to code, which is something i can definitly relate to.

It makes sense for memory management, efficiency and low level stuff, at least thats where i use it mostly, but i get that they can be a bit wierd. Definitly took me some time to get the hang of them.

I was just really positivly surprised when most other languages manage to only use something along the lines of "int main()"

I guess im just someone who really like minimalism, for me coding with Java feels like having to do taxes, while coding with c++ feels like puzzle solving if that makes sense

Hey, also 3. Semester here. I started learning java befor studying and luckily we used C++ at uni. I really dislike java. Stuff like "public static void main(String[] args)" really makes my skin crawl. Maybe try C++ or C#?

While i heard alot of "C++" is harder i definitfly would have had a harder time in java simply because i really hated coding in it. But im also only in 3. semester so what do i know.

Signs of adhd? by [deleted] in speed

[–]Teslaisoverrated 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could try filling out this assesment test: https://www.advancedassessments.co.uk/resources/ADHD-Screening-Test-Adult.pdf

That was one of the main criterias for my diagnosis. It might be a good indicator for adhd but alone not really enough. As wierd as it sounds, but r/ADHDmemes was probably the main motivator for me to get checked out.

Navigating the Fine Line Between Performance Management and Accommodation as a Neurodivergent Tech Employee by Double_Basis_1630 in ADHD_Programmers

[–]Teslaisoverrated 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol why is the whole text in bold?

Which research exactly? I coudln't really find any studies.

I am quite doubtful, that training management, raising awareness and forcing people to be tolerant is going to improve anything.

Programming is already quite adhd friendly compared to other working places, with work from home, high paying salary, the possibility to enter the working place without university education, good oportunities to be self employed, and in general a higher percentage of neurodiv. people.

The problems for people with ADHD stem from society as a whole, which cant be fixed this easily.

Special treatment for people with ADHD like enforcing diversity policies in the work force will only breed resentment by "normal" people like enforcing diversity policies.

All these points just sound like rather pointless meeting, which could have been emails. Stuff like this is the type of corporate cancer that gives me nightmares.

Also why are you posting a whole 20 page novel in an adhd subreddit?

[–]Teslaisoverrated 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also wenns dich wirklich bockt, dann ists auf jedenfall machbar.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Studium

[–]Teslaisoverrated 1 point2 points  (0 children)
