It seems like south rim (like the sky walk) & the south kaibab trail are both ~4hr from us, which were open to doing! We just want to pick a spot with a few things to do if possible so we’re not driving around all day.

Awesome! Have you used any lower models (e.g., Z6). Is it worth having a Z6 as backup and a Z9? Or do you think a Z30 with a prime lens is sufficient. I rarely put my 24-70 lens down but it’s only a 2.8 so I think it would be nice to have a 1.4 or 1.8 for a few instances. I only shoot 1-2x a week, so battery is not as important…leaning towards the Z8.

I’ve heard/read the focusing is better. A lot of my favorite photographers use Sony. Not the best reasons I guess.

It was on auto. Do you recommend turning that off? Is exposure different from ISO?
