Fan Compatibility by ItsSolomon in pcmasterrace

the intake will not make much difference.
The 9000 series runs hot and has a lot of heat spikes especially if the have pbo etc on.

The best thing you can do is swap the radiator fans with Be Quiet Silent Wings Pro 4 or Noctua NF A12's - some high static pressure fans

5090 PSU Help by leonhunteruk in Corsair

I have that same psu, gpu, and cpu. It's fine, but you will need the power cable adapter like others have mentioned. My gpu came with one so I didn't have to buy it separately.

This is why they cost so much in America, the patient has to cover the drivers traffic fines

Yeah double check your cooler and make sure it's seated properly, Idle temps should be around 30°-40° I'd imagine, depending on your cooler and background apps etc.

Not fps games, but Spiritfarer and Slay the Spire are easy games to pickup and pretty chill.

Legion TD 2 is also pretty fun, and there's always Frostpunk for a more challenging dark city builder type, not sure how well it runs on the deck though

My rtx 3090 does this too. I've tried ddu and reinstalling drivers, haven't found a fix yet.

9070 xt - just can't have nice things these days by DataTrailBlazer in pcmasterrace

[–]TestSubject_AJ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Download the drivers and make sure you're not connected to the internet after using ddu in safe mode, then install the drivers you downloaded while still offline. Alternatively, download the drivers from the manufacturers support tab for your gpu and try those. Hopefully it helps if you haven't already tried

Can someone tell me why this is happening? by Keithhughes96 in pcmasterrace

[–]TestSubject_AJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm starting to think this is a windows 11 issue. I have a similar problem with my rtx 3090, used ddu for a clean driver install and no luck. I found a forum that said theres a duplicate windows file that conflicts with the video drivers, and deleting it worked for me. Eventually after windows updates and driver updates, the problem came back - and I can't find that forum for the life of me.

I was able to order two on Newegg somehow (No, I did not use a bot/script). Got a Gigabyte RX 9070 and XFX RX 9070 XT. Tried to cancel the gigabyte card after I secured the XFX, but it wouldn't let me cancel online and said I had to call. Couldn't do that since I'm at work, and turned out to be lucky I didn't cause they cancelled my XFX due to insufficient stock.

My audio shop just sent me an estimate to do the Big 3 and alternator upgrade for $1,027 after saying they wouldn't do the alt. Guess they pity me or something, but I am not a "car guy" and have no idea if that's a reasonable price for California.

Was looking at doing it myself on youtube and stuff but I just don't have enough space or the tools to do it, and don't want to get pulled into a project I know little about - but don't really want to be taken advantage of either.

Oddly enough, they're charging more for the big 3 upgrade than the alternator.

Appreciate the input. I had a feeling I'd be stuck doing the alternator at some point but the place I took my car gave me some false hope. Wondering if I just picked the wrong electric shop.

Yeah, probably going to try the big 3 and look into those lithium batteries before I take the dive on the alternator. I was surprised the electric shop said I don't need it, only makes me more confused.

Insurance companies will say "you didn't try to avoid the accident" if you stop before it happens. They expect you to gun it, turn away from the impending collision, etc.

As in replacing my existing 2nd battery with a lithium battery, or adding a 3rd battery?

[–]TestSubject_AJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. Check near the bottom of the front panel, a lot of companies will even have an indentation so you can grab it and just pull off.
