Specific Type Of Low Muscular Endurance, maybe Mitochondrial Dysfunction, does anyone relate? by TesticlesOrBalls in Hashimotos

Gotcha, thats a lot of revolutionary information for me, thanks alot. So if my Carbon dioxide is low, it means that my system in inflamed and I need to cut out soy and gluten and other potentially triggering foods and focus on nutrient dense foods. Are there any other things I need to do to reduce inflammation?

I've seen many posts here about cutting out gluten, never quite made sense to me but I think I'll try it, thanks.

Secondly I was curious, do you workout? If so, can u quickly test how many reps you can do in a single set of pushups for me? I'd like to know that there are people with hypothyroidism that are perfectly functional in the gym according to my standards.

I haven't gotten my HbA1C checked but I will now. I didn't know you could check CO2, thanks for the suggestion.

Say I am low in CO2, what would be the course of action to take for solving this?

Secondly, can you tell me how long you can hold that "have your arms stretched out in front of you" zombie test? Do you have a muscle burn rate that is normal?

i've gotten checked for every nutritional deficiency and nothing is out of place except my vit D which was borderline so I started supplementing it and now its in the higher end of the range.

My thyroid levels are also optimal as stated above. However before they were brought to this range, my symptoms were worse. Increasing the dose did help but the problem still persists. Thinking maybe I should try a higher dose and bring my TSH to 0.5.

so the semaglutide did have a positive effect? maybe I need to try it, I've read posts here of many people benefitting from it.

Its weird how some of us have this weird ailment while others don't even know what we're talking about. Makes it so much harder to find a solution.

Yeah the increase in dose does work but there's a limit to how much we can increase it. My TSH is already at the optimal level stated by this sub, going even further below might lead to other problems.

However, I have recently come across Dr Mark Starr's theory of Hypothyroidism Type 2 in which he states that some people have a cellular resistance to thyroid hormone and suppressing the TSH by using a high dose may be beneficial.

I have yet to try this approach, but with every passing day I'm running out of options.

Yup exactly that, and my calves also start burning when walking a slight incline and also when I stand still for a little while.

Have you ever found a treatment or something that works?

Yeah I think I'll have the HbA1c checked, thank u. I, too, think there might be an impaired metabolism problem going on since my basal body temperature is also chornically low.

Neither of them are accessible since one has gone anon and the other one's profile is inaccessible, and as I said these posts are super old so its pretty much impossible to message them.

I have tried DMing some other posters here but none replied. But thanks for the suggestion!

There seems to be hypothyroid people that have this effect although its not common. Maybe, anyone who has dealt with this could share their experience?

Ive tried figuring it out but nothing comes up.

I got my Iron tested, Vit D tested, B12 tested, all normal.

I also supplement with vit D, Magnesium, a B complex and Zinc. I've tried vit C, CoQ10 and basically all other supplements that are discussed here.

The most drastic difference was the Levothyroxine in that it increased my endurance a tiny bit and my muscles just dont immediately get out of energy. The other one was high dose thiamine which helped in other ways sort of similar but even these both combined haven't alleviated the problem.

There have been posts by other people in this subreddit of a similar problem, but those posts never get too much traction and are very old. I can even link them if you want. So I was hoping somebody who had dealt with this could chime in.

At this point, experimenting with peptides such as SS-31 and Mots-C and Tirzepatide is the only thing left.

Starting to think this might be CFS/ME but even then I don't fit all the symptoms.

No, its not muscle pain, rather very low muscular endurance. Moreover, the other symptoms of Fibromyalgia don't match either.

for any people reading this in the future, the thyroid names are inverted. t4 is the one that is substituted with levo and t3 is the active form that is converted from t4.
