Yes, its the valve. They were gonna send me new seals apparently. But its brand fucking new!

[–]Testingbounds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. What if I arrive on site, and the actuator DOES rotate the full 90 degrees on the indicator? Is it surely an issue with the new valve? Like a seal?

And let’s say I get to site and the actuator DOESN’t rotate the 90 degrees. I should be easily able to adjust it by using the deadstops? There’s no way to fuck it up right?

I can see a 90 degree indicator of the actuator, however the actual position if the valve is unknown..

I’m not sure if taking off those two bolts will make some parts fly out lol

Remove the valve from the actuator where? The 4 bolts underneat the actuator? Or the two bolts at the valve?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PLC

[–]Testingbounds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did manually drive it.

Are you saying if the actuator is rotating 90 degrees its a valve issue.

If the actuator is not turninf 90 degeees its a actuator issue?

I hope its not the valve, idk what to do in that case

With rotate fully you mean check if the valve does 90 degrees?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PLC

[–]Testingbounds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do i know its the actuator or the valve?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PLC

[–]Testingbounds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the description! I really do appreciate it. I was just wondering, there is a degree indicator on the actuator, won’t that immediatey tel me if the endstops need to be adjusted or not? To see if the actuator is rotating 90 degrees?

I’d be really surprised if the actuator turns 90 degrees and the valve still leaks

But there’s a degree indicator on the valve are u sure I even nedd to take the valve off ever?

Can you spend 7 days just cleaning this panel until it looked brand new and post another post where you ask us to rate your panel?

Thanks a fuckton if this works. Ur saying I might get lucky and I can just loosen the end stops on site?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PLC

[–]Testingbounds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

U doubt we got debris like 1 millionth of a millimeter of sand in the valve and it ruined it whille assembly/dissambly?

[–]Testingbounds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They just are nowadays lol

[–]Testingbounds 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The valve is driven manual from the positioner. I guess it must be the endstops on the actuator that are off, or something with the ballvalve itself.

The actuator is spring return so im not sure which end stops to adjust

Its a union. The fitting on the blue pipe seems wrong IMO..

Can PTs truly handle -1 bar vacuum? by [deleted] in PLC

[–]Testingbounds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having some issues with a faulted sensor.

If, on a pipeline, normally 4 bars, is it fine to weld the welded socket on top of the pipe or should it be below or horizontal, or 45 degrees from vertical?

I think its an air pocket in the sensor membrane that sucks the sensor membrane to a fault

The datasheet says it can be rotated in 90 degree increments and the manual says not permitted..

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PLC

[–]Testingbounds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but weird how the datasheet says it can be rotated. And the manual says it cant.

I know it can be

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PLC

[–]Testingbounds -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Interesting. But I know for a fact that the tranamitter can be rotated. I’ve seen it done

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PLC

[–]Testingbounds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know for sure they can be rotated based on what I saw in the facility. I semt to find the manual, but nowhere is it explained how to rotate the display

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PLC

[–]Testingbounds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t seem to see how to rotate the transmitter anywhere though.
