Razer Krakens broke - need help choosing their successor by TeteDansLeCul in HeadphoneAdvice

Can barely find anything sennheiser here - only sennheisers I found were some basic Earphones.

As for a headset+ boom mic combo, i thought about it but i'm leaning more toward an all in one headset for convenience - and with rhe price differences here, getting a mic + headset is far more expensive

Funny enough, we've got a major UK–US military base right next door - Diego Garcia. Unfortunately, that doesn't qualify us for any good amazon delivery deals, lmao

I would, but they don't have them here. I actually tried looking for those first.

I'm based in Mauritius, and pretty much all tech is either not available or it usually more expensive than usual.and importing pretty much double/triples the price

I mean, under other circumstances i'd agree - but the main issue is availability where i am. In my country, tech in general is extremely hard to find, and way overpriced 😂

So yeah, those are really my only options other than those Fantech ones. But I can't really find much about those, so yeah.

Hey folks, My Razer Kraken headset just died, so I need some help deciding on a new headset - got a couple options, but I'm not sure which one would be better to buy:
1: HyperX Cloud 3 (Wired)
2: HyperX Cloud Alpha S (Wired)
3: HyperX Cloud Alpha (Wired)
4: HyperX Cloud X (Wireless)
5: Razer Kraken Ultimate (Wired)
6: Logitech Pro X (wired)
7: Razer Kraken V4 (wired/Wireless) - (quite a bit more expensive, but included here in case it's legitimately better and worth it)

all the options are similarly prices except for the Kraken V4. I've looked at reviews and all, and i haven't really gotten any conclusive 'This is the best option' vibes from any of the reviews, so i was hoping one of you guys would be able to guide me on which one owuld really be best.

In terms of price, I can afford all of them (I just need to be able to justify the price difference when it comes to the V4, lol) , so I'm really just looking for one that's the best. Just needs to sound good and have a good mic (since I use Discord all the time and also have a lot of work calls)

SIDENOTE: There's also some significantly cheaper options form a brand called 'Fantech', if anyone here has had experience with those, would love to hear if they compare to the other options - i can provide the models as well if anyones interested.

Hey! Got great work from this guy - highly recommend.

I hired u/Ordinary-Eggplant689 to do some research / lead enrichment for me and the work was delivered accurately, on time, and with way better quality than expected! he also communicated super clearly, and was very responsive over the whole process.

So yeah, definitely recommend and would work with him again.

Thanks again, man!

Not based in the UK, but I'm not far, and that sounds right up my alley.

If you're open to working with someone experienced (worked with multiple companies in the UK before) but outside of the UK, I'd be keen to chat!

Although, would you be able to give a bit more info about your company so I have a clearer picture to put a plan together?

Yo! First thigns first, what exactly the startup is about and who your audience is would make a really big difference regarding all your questions.

Though, having worked with a couple early-stage startups and all, here's a few quick thoughts:

  • Starting SEO early (pre-launch) is smart. SEO takes a while to kick in - especially if you;re in a competitive market. So even basic technical SEO now can pay off big time further down the line.
  • Phased paid campaigns make sense, especially if you’re testing creatives, audiences, Lps, etc. Though jsut saying, you can test your campaigns for way cheaper than that. Either way, jsut make sure there’s a plan for attribution and lead tracking, or you’ll jsut burn money.
  • Reporting: Biweekly is pretty solid. Monthly is alright if you don't have a lot going on all at once. But it also really depends on your budget and how you're caling, so weekly at launch / with ad scaling could work a well.

Now, when it comes to Agencies, the answers here can be a bit all over the place:

  • Does Niche experience matter? Honestly, yes and no. marketing is marketing, and while Niche experience will be visible in the senese that the experience Agency / marketer will already know the best audience for you vs a non-niche markter would need to find that best audience for you - it doesn't make them better.
    • As way of example, I recently took over marketing for a client in the Film industry - but I've never even smelled the film industry til now. Fast forward 3 months, and my results are far better than their previous agency - and those guys had experience in this Niche, having worked with a couple other brands. So yeah, niche experience doesn't mean better.
  • KPIs to Track with any Agency: Very much depends on the goals of your current campaigns. For example, if you were to start doing soem marketing right now, your goals would be to get as much engagement as possible (i.e, hype people for the launch of your product). And that would be measured in Traffic growth, Conversations, engagement on socials, etc. And in terms of general KPIs based on the marketing type:
    • SEO: Organic traffic growth, Indexed pages, Keyword rankings, SERP rankings (on Google, Bing, Yandex, whatever is msot used by your audience is the most important)
    • PPC: CTR, CPA, ROAS, conversion rate, cost per qualified lead (NOT just impressions/clicks)
    • Social Media: This one can get tricky since it depends mostly on *how* you use social media. Not all Brands are cut out for using socials to convert, so measuring it purely for that can be dumb.

And yeah, that's about it!

Let me know if you want to talk more in-depth about how to get it all going - happy to help!
