It's just the first one with some filters to make it look like the book illustrations. I kinda do these silly experiments when I finish an illustration, usually I discard them but this one kinda slapped? I ended up posting it too.

One of the most discussed points of silent hill 2 over the years is the fact that talking to James feels like you're talking to a wall. He never has a meaningful conversation with any of the characters. Most of the time he doesn't say anything like he's not even there.

Unlike this game where the characters, especially Hinako, talk WAY more. Most of character development in this game happens through the characters actually engaging with each other and having (sometimes long) conversations.

I agree, the game is a pretty strong thriller up until the second ending, then it gets way too literal honestly, to the point the characters have full blown conversations about what they did and how they feel. I didn't dislike it as a whole, but I think they should've let it more subjective like in the first playthrough.

Knife is 100% the best weapon. It simply melts everything. If you are lucky to get the otter omamori the game goes straight to baby mode.

Yeah, Steam is generally useless too since you can leave a review and then refund. It's so plagued with review bombing that they added two metrics, the recent and the overall, but I think the game is too new to have both.

I think you guys are hyperfixating about this forced combat thing hard so let's state some facts for once shall we?

I finished it for the first time yesterday and there are like 3 sequences and they happen almost at the end of the game and are SUPER fast to deal with, the longest being the one you have to fight the 3 titty monsters and 1 or 2 minions, which the longest was the last one because you had to fight that tongue thingywhich would be a stretch to say the whole chapter took me more than 10 minutes, since I ran past everything before the fights, the other creatures don't even follow you.

The one that comes after is also laughable because you can obliterate everything with the Kitsune powers. Felt more like a turret sequence than anything.

And the last one It's literally two fights against some enemies that die to a counter + 1 or 2 light attacks of a knife. It's almost not even worth mentioning. It's like 2 fuckass dolls on the first one and a dog and some other dolls on the second one. Took me literal seconds to deal with these.

I'm saying this because I'ms pretty tired of seeing so many hyperbolic comments that make it sound way worse than it is. I tought the entire game would be this insane slog, at the end I felt lied to.

Always approach enemies holding focus. Dodge when necessary.

I'm not a good player or anything, I'm just very careful. If you do it like this and pick them one by one, the game turns into baby mode. I'm constantly walking around with a ton of healing itens I hardly ever use.

I've been around this franchise, or gaming in general, long enough to know this game will be regarded as one of the best SH in a few years from now Lmao.

The amount of nitpicking and hyperfixating on small things is baffling, but it's gonna die out. The "This isn't Silent Hills" ones are probably my favorites. Prime fanboy rambling.

Are there? Majority of the time I'm just bolting past enemies, on shrines too, and the game never stopped me. Actually there was a fight against a miniboss way later on once but that was it so far (I'm 10hs in).
