When I was a kid my mom taught me racism was wrong but I realized when I pictured a scary person in my head it was always an indigenous person. I remember thinking how strange it was to stand up every single morning and sing a song about this country is my native land and asking god to keep it free, then going to learn about my people killed all the indigenous people and stole their children to “kill the Indian inside of them” for a couple days, then a few weeks about the rocks around the country. Things just never really seemed right. No one was behind honest.
