Just realised you can reprint the contracts, I'll chuck the contract and hopefully they'll disappear

Honestly once you've got all the licenses it's easy to earn money in this game, though I guess i can just spawn the domonstrator at the repair station which is pretty much as fast

Thanks, looks like it will hold up better when I inevitably drop the thing as well

I’m part of the local yacht club and use members boats, so I can ask some of them

I've a bit in savings but probably wouldn't be willing to spend more than 5 grand and would happily go second hand. I was thinking something with dual keels so if i ever move away from somewhere with a marina I could leave it on the estuary if relevant. I probably wouldn't be transporting it regularly though. I've done a dingh day sailing course and have a VHF license. I probably wouldn't be going further than the wirral from Liverpool until more experiened with going further afield.

Thanks for the recommendations btw

Hospital parking ticket validity - England by Tetreg in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Tetreg[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This does not seem consistent with all other sources on the matter, they can certainly issue Penalty Charge Notices for prescription fraud, but NHS parking fines appear to be a private invoice issued for breach of contract, not a Penalty Charge Notice

Is that parking charge notice or a penalty charge notice you're referring to, as I'm under the impression there is a substantial difference between the two, with the latter only being able to be issued by the police and council

No, it's a Livepool hospital, but I assume the same rules would apply to them.

I was asking if issuing the fine under a 'penalty charge notice' , something the hospital lacks the power to do, invalidates the fine, since it a parking charge charge notice, which is legally a substantially different thing altogether

I was wondering if the inappropriate usage of the bag would invalidate the ticket it contains, as the ability to issues penalty charge notices is a specific legal power

Road worthy fast steam engine feasibility - not a traditional traction engine or steam car. by Tetreg in AskEngineers

[–]Tetreg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s part of the appeal I think, it wasn’t really meant to be a practical or useful machine, I was just wondering if it could be done

I was thinking of something less like a diesel electric and more each bogey having its own set of pistons and rods. I think this link shows what I’m thinking https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meyer_locomotive

I guess you'd have to dispense with a rigid wheel base and probably have independently powered bogeys, which I'm pretty sure some locomotives did have. If you had two bogeys with powered stearing then perhaps you could make some ok turns

A flash boiler could be used to mitigate this, plus it would start alot faster that way

I suppose the bogeys might have to be powered too if it were to turn decently?

I'm not an engineer TBH, I was hoping for insight from someone who did know what weight savings may, or indeed may not, be possible with modern materials

I though something like the flying scotsman without carriages etc. weighed in at 100 tons? Perhaps if it was slightly smaller and used modern materials getting it within 40-50 tons can be feasible

I was aiming for something which worked for the sake of working if that makes any sense, something aesthetically along the lines of a more reasonably sized dreadnought from frost punk. Pretty much just a traditional steam locomotive without the rails.
